The Cat's Meow - S1-E18

Character mistake: When Darrin is on the deck of the yacht, he says something about the salt air. The problem is earlier he was told that he was going to Chicago to meet Miss Marshall for a dinner meeting. The only body of water to support a yacht 3 miles off shore is Lake Michigan which is fresh water.

A Nice Little Dinner Party - S1-E19

Continuity mistake: The train shown is pulled by four diesel locomotives, "A" unit leads with two "B" units sandwiched between a second "A" unit. When Mrs. Stevens pulls the emergency stop cord, which would not likely be on a long distance passenger train, the locomotive shown doing an emergency stop is a steam one. Not to mention that by the time of this episode steam engines were obsolete, and less likely to have been employed, especially in passenger service.

Red Light, Green Light - S1-E23

Continuity mistake: When Dave sees Darrin's ad for the community meeting, he suggests a couple of changes, one of them being to add a line saying "and bring your friends". But the ad was shown in close-up shortly before Dave's arrival, and there was already a line saying "Be sure and bring all your friends". (00:13:35)

Abner Kadabra - S1-E29

Visible crew/equipment: When Abner comes over to the Stephens' near the end to say Gladys' problem has got worse, just as the door is closing a crew member's hand can be seen near the Bob ensuring it closes. This is just before the shot goes to Darrin.

George the Warlock - S1-E30

Continuity mistake: When Darrin steps outside for the morning paper, neighbor Dora O' Riley is working on the lettering of her mailbox. Darrin gets locked out of his house. He goes to a window, turns back to Dora and says "I got locked out". The lettering on the mailbox is completely different. (00:00:48 - 00:01:27)

That Was My Wife - S1-E31

Continuity mistake: Louise and Larry have been married 10 years. When Louise gets pregnant in Season 1 ep 12 she says she has been married for 14 years. So this would be their 16th anniversary.

Alias Darrin Stephens - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: When Sam is looking for Darrin to tell him the good news, Aunt Clara walks into the living room holding the large book with its cloth bookmark hanging over the top front of the book (facing Sam), but in the next shot the bookmark has switched to hanging over the top back of the book (facing Clara). Alias Darrin Stephens - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: When Aunt Clara tells Sam not to worry about Darrin because she has her book of spells, there's a closeup of the book with its binding facing left and Clara pointing to the large title "Spells and Incantations" on its cover, but in other shots Clara's holding the book with its binding facing right (we see Vol. 7 on the binding) so the cover is facing the opposite way, and there is no title on the cover. Alias Darrin Stephens - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: Aunt Clara crashes into the pagoda and is helped up by Darrin and Samantha. They head inside and you can see Aunt Clara's purse sitting in the pagoda to the bottom left. But when all three enter the house, Aunt Clara is now carrying her purse. (01:14:00 - 01:20:00)

Darrin Stephens: Sam, don't expect your mother to be gracious. She doesn't do imitations.

Samantha Fights City Hall - S5-E9

Trivia: Because Erin Murphy, who played Tabitha, was ill, her fraternal twin sister Diane took her place in this episode. By this time, Erin and Diane didn't resemble each other as much as they once did, and it was obvious to regular viewers of the show that it wasn't the Tabitha they were used to seeing. The producers received several letters asking "Who was that?"

Show generally

Question: Is there some reason why Samantha wears the same exact "Heart Pendant Necklace" in every single episode? It seems odd that she only has one necklace all the time.

Answer: The original diamond and white gold heart necklace was given to Elizabeth Montgomery by her then real-life husband, William Asher, who also directed the show. She wore it in nearly every early episode. When the necklace was lost or stolen about mid-way through the series, Montgomery had two replicas made from rhinestones. She wore either one of those for the rest of the show's run.
