A Tsar is Born - S7-E7

Continuity mistake: When Marty, Niles, and Frazier return from the taping of the Antiques Road Show, Marty hangs up his blue windbreaker and then Frazier hangs up his gray raincoat, obscuring Marty's coat. But throughout the scene, all we see is Marty's blue jacket - where did the raincoat go?

The Late Dr. Crane - S7-E8

Continuity mistake: Frasier is in the hospital waiting room and Phil (the guy who later pretends he is Frasier) is reading a newspaper - he folds it up before talking to Frasier but in the next shot, from another angle, we see him folding it up again.

The Late Dr. Crane - S7-E8

Continuity mistake: Niles has just met Mel in her office, and she is wearing a white coat - she is brushing off her sleeve in one shot, and then unbuttoning the coat in the next, without enough time to have switched that quickly.

The Apparent Trap - S7-E9

Revealing mistake: In the scene where Frasier and Lilith meet in the living room, where Frederick has created a romantic atmosphere, Frasier has a long speech about how Lilith is not going to get him back, ending with "I need to be finessed!" and Bebe Neuwirth goes out of character and begins to giggle, before she quickly covers her mouth and pulls herself together. Though Lilith might have found Frasier's comment amusing, it would definitely not be in character for her to giggle like that.

The Apparent Trap - S7-E9

Continuity mistake: Lilith takes on the job of pouring wine for Thanksgiving dinner - we see her pour 2 glasses but when the shot changes there are 3 full glasses of wine on the table even though there had been none before she started.

The Apparent Trap - S7-E9

Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the show, Daphne comes home from shopping holding a bag of groceries with the leafy tops of vegetables facing out. Frederick goes to help her and suddenly the leafy tops are facing inwards, without Daphne having time to move the bag.

Back Talk - S7-E10

Continuity mistake: When Frazier comes into his booth to begin his show, Roz is reading a book. She says "Happy Birthday" to him and we can still see the book in front of her; but in the next shot it is lying on the console next to her, without any time for her to have put it there.

Back Talk - S7-E10

Continuity mistake: When Frasier is talking to Eddie, his tie switches back and forth constantly between shots - sometimes it lies straight down his shirt, other times it is draped across his jacket and around his side.

Back Talk - S7-E10

Factual error: This episode takes place on Frasier's birthday - Martin had ordered a copy of the newspaper published the day Frasier was born and it is sitting on the dining room table when Daphne glances at it and says "Queen Elizabeth's had another baby." - in the Episode The Late Dr. Crane earlier in the same season, Frasier was mistakenly reported as dead on a local TV news show. The dates for his life were shown on the show as 1952-1999. The Queen, in fact, did not have a baby in 1952.

The Fight Before Christmas - S7-E11

Continuity mistake: Mel and Frasier are talking at the KACL Christmas party - she says "did you two have a good time last night?" and her hands are down in front of her - in the next shot her hand is up at her neck, with no time to have done this naturally.

Rdwrer - S7-E12

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the show, Niles and Frasier are talking about Chez Henri burning down. Frazier takes a glass of sherry from Niles and in the next shot we see him take it again.

Big Crane on Campus - S7-E14

Other mistake: In the kitchen, when Niles burns his hand you can see him move his hand down to stop the frying pan from falling off the stove. He doesn't touch it again, but it looks like the instinctive actions of someone who knocked something over rather than part of the scene. He just slips out of character for a moment.

Out With Dad - S7-E15

Continuity mistake: At Frasier's apartment, Emily asks him if Marty is dating anyone. During the conversation Frasier's hands are in his pockets, and then in front of him, and then back in his pockets, from shot to shot.

Out With Dad - S7-E15

Continuity mistake: Marty is on the couch talking to Edward about how he came out, and in several shots his hands are laced together on his stomach. In the succeeding shots, with no time to change, his arms are folded up on his chest.

Out With Dad - S7-E15

Continuity mistake: In the beginning scene, Niles and Frasier are arguing by the door. Right after Niles leaves and Frasier yells "Get out! ", the camera pans out and you can see the entire room, at which point Roz is holding her wine glass in her right hand. Immediately after, the camera cuts to Roz who says, "yeah, some nerve..., " and the glass is now on the table in front of her left hand. There wasn't time for her to set it down (especially across her body), and the camera stays focused on her continuously through both shots.

Out With Dad - S7-E15

Continuity mistake: In the opera, when Marty waves at the ladies, Fraiser tries to pull his hand down. He looks over at the ladies as he does this, but in the next shot he is turned towards Marty.

Something About Dr. Mary - S7-E16

Audio problem: After Mary says "Except I bet you didn't walk through a metal detector to get to class", Frasier in that shot does not move his mouth in line with the dialog that he speaks, but instead appears to be laughing. Additionally in the next shot, although his mouth now matches his dialog, he is half way out of his seat despite being sat in it in the previous shot. (00:02:15)

Frasier: And though washing one's hands twenty to thirty times a day would be considered obsessive/compulsive, please bear in mind that your husband is a coroner. Thank you for your call, Jeanine. Roz, whom do we have next?

Caught in the Act - S11-E15

Trivia: When Nanette tells Frasier she's tired of playing her children's show character, she asks him if he knows what it's like to play the same character for twenty years. By this point, Kelsey Grammer had been playing Frasier for twenty years: eleven on 'Frasier' and nine on 'Cheers'.

Show generally

Question: Counting his role on Cheers, Kesley Grammar has played Fraiser for twenty years. Is this the record for the longest portrayal of a character by a TV actor?

Answer: It equals the record of James Arness of "Gunsmoke" for the actor who's played the same part on TV NOT in a soap opera. If you include soaps there are two main contenders - William Roache, who's been playing Ken Barlow in "Coronation Street" in the UK since 1960. Don Hastings has been playing Robert Hughes in US soap "As the World Turns" since 1960 as well.
