Continuity mistake: When Scully reads the alleged printout of the email sent to her by Mulder, it says: "Dearest Dana: I've resisted contacting you for reasons I know you appreciate...I want to come home, to you, to William", but when Scully has previously viewed this message in the internet café, it had a different form: "I've resisted contacting you for reasons I know you continue to appreciate...I want to come home. To you, and to William." (00:06:05)
Visible crew/equipment: In the final scene of the episode, when the camera goes up, its shadow can be seen on the left side of the screen. (00:42:15)
Plot hole: When Arthur wakes up on the bus, he sees an alien reflection in the window beside Josh, but it's not possible that the reflection could be seen at all - especially from the angle that Arthur first sees it - considering how much of the pillow is covering both Josh's face and the window. The pillow extends past Josh's face so he could lean on it as cushioning against the window, but somehow Arthur sees a full facial reflection.
Plot hole: After Exley has gotten up after being hit by the ball, Dales notices green alien blood inside the glove where the back of Exley's head was resting. However, Exley was hit in the face, not the back of the head; not only was there no bleeding face wound while he was on the ground, but the glove was clean when Exley first gets up.
Plot hole: When Arthur looks closely at the green alien blood on the baseball glove, he has no reaction to it, despite the continuous pattern in the show about the blood being incredibly toxic to humans, even from a distance. It should have badly hurt his eyes at the least.
Other mistake: When Mulder is on his knees in the cafeteria talking to the gunman, there are several shots where you can see the sides of his jacket hanging wide open because of his raised arms, which would make the gun on his belt easily visible to the gunman as he talks to him, but he somehow doesn't see it until he goes to take Mulder's phone.
Visible crew/equipment: When Ben Drake is walking in front of the paintings in his office, for a short moment one can see the camera setup and the cameraman reflected off the first painting. (00:01:40)
Continuity mistake: During the conversation with Mulder, in the front shot the Deep Throat tilts his head to the left while in the back shot his head is tilted to the right. (00:26:10)
Continuity mistake: When Scully enters her apartment, the blinds are up and there is quite a lot of light in the room. However, when the flashback with Mulder ends, during which Scully was supposedly standing still, the shades are rolled down and there is much less light in the room. (00:20:30)

Continuity mistake: When the fiery figure comes up to Jeb, he is standing alone on the street, however in the previous and following take he stands in the crowd surrounded by other people. (00:02:15)
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, when the guy is calling from the booth, he is standing either on the left or right side of it, depending on the shot. (00:00:40)
Factual error: According to the NASA space shuttle launch countdown procedure, the close-out crew retreats to fallback area in the "T-3 hours and counting" phase. The members of the crew are the last persons who leave the launch pad at least 20 minutes before liftoff. However, during the close-up take of the main engines, when the ground control says "All systems go for APU start", we can see two members of the ground personnel in orange suits near the engines. Revealing mistake: When George gets out of the car, one can hear strong gusts of wind produced by the coming storm, but trees and bushes do not move at all. (00:00:50)
Revealing mistake: When the detective speaks with the undertaker, on the left side of the screen the place where the smoke is produced is visible. (00:21:35)

Continuity mistake: When Mulder's fall from the cliff is filmed from the ground, one can see that he is wearing white shirt, while earlier and afterwards Mulder is dressed in a grey T-shirt. (00:03:20)
Other mistake: The fourth photo could not have been taken by Mulder, because he is shooting craft's pictures from elevation, while this photo is taken from the ground level. (00:08:45)
Continuity mistake: The car where the guy is killed is a 1970 Ford LTD convertible in front but a 1969 Ford LTD from the rear.
Continuity mistake: At The End of Max's seizure Mulder holds him under his chin, but in the next shot he holds his hands. (00:26:30)
Continuity mistake: When Michelle is driving her car, the back shots show some label to the left of a driving wheel that is missing in the front shots. (00:15:10)
Continuity mistake: When Michelle's car lays upside down, one can see that it has headlights with two lamps on each side, but in the previous shots her car has only one lamp on each side. (00:15:45)
