Corrected entry: David tells Kirk that "we encoded four minutes" for the Genesis device. However, when the countdown is at 3 minutes and 30 seconds, the Reliant doesn't blow up until one minute later.

Correction: It is not shot in real time; events being shown on the Enterprise overlap. The scenes in the engine room are taking place at the same time as those on the bridge.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Doc Ock holds Aunt May over the edge of a building and Spiderman gets ready to slingshot himself towards them, Doc Ock has a spike come out of one of his tentacles and hides it behind his back. The spike shouldn't be in there in the first place, since Doc Ock built the tentacles to control fusion reactions, not to kill people. Also, Spiderman's senses don't go off despite the fact that he is in danger.

Correction: The spike could have any number of uses during the experiment; he only resorts to using it as a weapon after his transformation (remember Robocop's spike that was intended for data retrieval, later used as a weapon). Spiderman's senses alert him to danger; they may have been overwhelmed by the sight of Doc Ock dangling Aunt May off a building - a very obvious danger. In any case, with Aunt May's life being threatened Peter decided that any risk was worth saving her.

Kick-Ass (2010)

Correction: True, but mix-ups in online ordering occur all the time. Dave didn't get what he ordered but decided to use the suit he received instead of waiting to return it and get the replacement.

The Karate Kid (2010)

Corrected entry: Mr Han says he smashes his car once per year and is then rebuilding it. Giving the state of the car after he smashed it in the movie, he is certainly in the wrong job. He has a career as panel beater in front of him. Assuming the car looks every year the same after he is "finished" with it the look of the car before he smashed it was rather stunning. All panels were straight, no visible damage. Even the frame was a complete write off beforehand and looked more it was run over by a tank.

Correction: We see the car at the end of it's 'repair cycle'; after Han has spent a whole year fixing it. He works on it every day and only repairs the cosmetic damage - he's only trying to make it look the way it did before the accident. After years of smashing and repairing the car he is getting very good at it, and the pieces damaged beyond repair (glass, mirrors, ets) are obviously swapped out with replacement parts.

Salt (2010)

Corrected entry: When Salt jumps off the bridge onto the semi trailer truck, the truck is a blue cargo container. When the agents follow her to the next bridge overpass, she is on a gas tanker truck.

Correction: When she is on the blue cargo container they have a clear shot at her and the police vehicles following are in the same lane as the truck she is riding on. She sees the gas tanker in the adjoining lane that is about to make a right turn onto an exit, then they show her jumping from the blue cargo container to the gas tanker. A wise move on her part; the agents on the overpass have a more difficult shot, they would be less likely to fire at a gas tanker (they do anyway), and she eludes the police vehicles following the cargo truck.

Corrected entry: Why didn't Wai Lin and Bond place the mines on the outside of the ship near the waterline? It would have been much easier to place the mines without being detected and it would have made the ship visible on radar.

poehitman

Correction: It would have been easier for the crew to spot them on the outside of the ship. Also it would be more difficult for Bond and Wai Lin to get the mines on both pontoons if they were placing them on the outside of the ship - they would have had to place them on one pontoon, then drive the raft around the outside to the other pontoon. They way they did it Bond places them on one side and Wai Lin climbs over to the other side - much easier.

BocaDavie

Corrected entry: Why would MI6 send Q out to make contact with Bond at the monastery? Q is the head of Q-Branch, MI6's equipment research and development division. They would never send someone so valuable out into the field to make contact with Bond when a lower lever messenger would do.

poehitman

Correction: Unless he was already in the area; we don't know what Q was doing immediately before the meeting. This was an extremely low risk contact, there wasn't any danger to Q, and they did require someone with top secret clearance - a 'lower level messenger' would not have the clearance level necessary.

Predators (2010)

Corrected entry: It seems illogical that both clans of Predators can remote control the spaceship.

Correction: It's perfectly logical... since the clans battle each other it makes sence that one clan would steal the ability to control the spaceship from the other.

Corrected entry: The whole reason for locking Susan up in the facility is to keep her a secret from the outside world. One tiny problem though: About a hundred people at her wedding saw her grow into a giantess. That's not something you forget very easily. Even later, when she visits Derek and her parents, they have little to no reaction to her changed self. Shouldn't the government have taken precautions to make sure they wouldn't blab?

Brad

Correction: This is a question, not a mistake. We don't see what containment measures the Government takes after removing Susan from the wedding; they may have sworn everyone to secrecy or face imprisonment. When Susan goes to visit Derek and her parents the people are the same ones who attended the wedding, they've already seen Susan's big change.

Monsters, Inc. (2001)

Corrected entry: When Mike, Sully, Boo, and Randal ride the doors out of the factory, it takes a couple of minutes for the ride to end. When the doors are called into the factory, however, it only takes about 10 seconds.

Correction: All of the monsters doing the scaring have doors assigned to them. Roz selects the doors for each monster and gives the door assignments to the monster's assistant. In order to expedite the scaring process the doors that are coming out to the scare floor would be placed closest to the storage exit, like a batter who is 'on deck'. When Mike, Sully, Boo and Randall ride the doors back all the way to their storage spots it is a much further trip.

The Book of Eli (2010)

Corrected entry: Didn't anyone else notice that his eyes were perfectly fine and brown? If he was blind the whole time (and in the end his eyes were white), why are his eyes brown when we takes off his shades and looks out the window and look up at the sun? Doesn't make sense.

thecrow55

Correction: This is a question, not a mistake. They never say how he became blind. If his blindness was caused by a severed optic nerve, for example, there would be no change in the eye's external appearance. Many blind people don't have deformity or discoloration on their eyes.

BocaDavie

The issue was not addressed as to why his eye color changed from brown to white even though he is blind at the start of the movie.

He is not blind at the start of the movie.

Correction: He is blind but in the novel for which the movie is based, our hero is blind but given sight to carry out the mission.

Toy Story 3 (2010)

Correction: There is no rule saying that the toy's faces must return to their exact position when people are around (i.e., when they have to freeze in position). Woody's expression is always a closed-mouth smile when frozen in place with only slight changes in his facial expression. In a universe where toys can come to life it must be acceptable that there can be changes in their configurations when they freeze in place.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Jacob is hurt by the newborn vampire, you can see the nude suit on this right thigh, even though he is supposed to be naked in the scene.

Correction: I have re-watched this scene looking for the nude suit and cannot see it. If it is there it blends in well enough with his skin to make it look like his actual leg.

BocaDavie

Corrected entry: It's been established that when werewolves morph back to their human forms, their clothes don't morph with them. When Jacob morphs back after being attacked by the vampire, he is naked. Yet, seconds later, when Leah morphs back, she is fully clothed. Fair enough: she could've stashed her clothes somewhere in the clearing, but she had no time to change into her clothes. It'd have to be the fastest change in human history.

Brad

Correction: Leah is off camera for several seconds while morphing back to human form (we don't see her morph on camera). All she's wearing is shorts and a tank top; considering how fast they move she had sufficient time to pull on those two pieces of clothing.

Toy Story 3 (2010)

Corrected entry: In the first Toy Story Andy's room is sky blue with clouds. At the end of the film he has moved into his new house and we see that his room is a green shade. In Toy Story 3 his room is once again blue with clouds, a little childish for a teenager going to college.

Seven_Thirteen

Correction: They never say when his room was repainted, it was apparently done when he was a child and never repainted when he grew up. At the beginning of Toy Story 3 they show a videotape of him when he was a child, playing with the characters from Toy Story 2 in his blue bedroom.

Toy Story 3 (2010)

Corrected entry: In the bedroom, Andy's dog Buster flops down on top of Woody. When Woody gets out from under the dog, Woody's cowboy hat is missing. In the very next shot, as Woody runs to the window, his hat is back on his head.

Correction: The hat was under the dog; he grabs it when the dog rolls off him.

Spider-Man (2002)

Corrected entry: When Spider-man first gets his new suit you can see the world trade center in his eyes when the film came out in 2002.

Correction: The movie was filmed in 2001, and obviously is supposed to be set in 2001 (despite it being released in 2002). The original trailer for the film showed Spider-Man catching a felon's helicopter in a web that he strung between the twin towers.

BocaDavie

Corrected entry: In the scene where Doc lands the DeLorean in pouring rain in 2015, after a while the rain stops, and it is sunny and you can see the clock tower is in full light when Marty looks at the newspaper. But when Marty, after putting on his new clothes, walks on the street, it is cloudy again.

Correction: As the submitter mentions the rain stops suddenly and it's sunny. Apparently there are some rapidly-moving clouds in the area; altogether possible for it to be overcast again within a few seconds.

Quantum of Solace (2008)

Corrected entry: By the end of "Casino Royale" Bond's DBS was destroyed. The DBS was given to him merely to help him to appear to be a rich poker player. In the beginning of "Quantum" he has the car back in perfect condition. Does the British Government routinely hand out quarter-of-a-million-dollar supercars?

Correction: Because he does indeed have a new vehicle at the beginning of Quantum we will have to assume that the British Government did provide it for him. It is a convention of the series that Bond is provided with a new vehicle when one gets destroyed. And it is not a hand out; as Bond is often reminded in previous films, the vehicles and equipment are the property of the British Government.

BocaDavie

Corrected entry: In both the opening in Alec Baldwin's house and on the sub at Scott Glen's station, you can see an edition of Jane's date 1977-1978. Since this takes place in 1984, is this really the most recent edition of this important reference/information text? The sub commander might have an old favorite, but also a CIA employee would be referencing a 7 year old text?

Correction: This is not a mistake. Lots of people hang on to old or outdated editions of books or reference material.
