Corrected entry: A scrat was not a real animal, but only created for the movie.

Goldfinger (1964)
Corrected entry: The girl dies from what is called skin suffocation. Skin suffocation is in reality a myth.
Correction: Technically, it's not. Toxins/bacteria, etc. can enter the body through the pores on the skin and be sufficient enough to cause death or serious injury. It's possible that this is what actually happened with the fabled gypsy dancer that this story refers to, and overtime, the "skin suffocation" term was coined.

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)
Corrected entry: In the credits, it says that Saddam does his own voice, but in reality, Matt Stone does.
Correction: No, they didn't say Saddam did his voice, they just say that Saddam played himself. Which is true; they use an actual picture of Saddam for the character.

Bachelor Party (1984)
Corrected entry: When Tom and his girlfriend are having the conversation about the party, she says "Hookers" to which he replies "Oh those" and she mouths his line.
Correction: Tawny's character is mocking Tom's character when he says the line, "Oh those hookers." Not a mistake, just the character making fun of the other.

Around the World in 80 Days (2004)
Corrected entry: Lord Kelvin mentions evolution as if it is some abstract concept, but evolution was already quite a widespread theory at the time.
Correction: Indeed and since its introduction, people on both sides of the debate have held passionate opinions on it and been dimissive of the opposing view. His attitude to evolution is quite in keeping with the arrogance he displays throughout the film.

Stargate SG-1 (1997)
Corrected entry: If the SGC needed to lock up the team because they had been compromised, why on earth did they lock them in a room full of computers? Everyone knows that all three of them know how to use computers and likely one would hack into something.
Correction: Hack into what? Personal files? Even if they had been compromised, they already knew everything there was worth knowing (besides of course knowing something that wasn't real) and protocol would change codes after members of the SGC were compromised so there was no threat there (codes are not kept on file...outside sources could hack in, as we find out with that user number guy). Finally, if they did find something out, who cares...no one will know but SG-1. They couldn't transmit information off world if the wormhole isn't active. All-in-all, Hammond probably hoped Carter would find out SG-1 was wrong after all.

Stargate SG-1 (1997)
Corrected entry: When Jack first tells Daniel to dial home, he brushes off the edge of the DHD which is covered with about 2 inches of ash, but when we see the DHD in the background just seconds later, it has only a light dusting of ash on it.
Correction: The DHD only has a light dusting of ash because Daniel had to brush the ash off to dial home which is why there is less ash on it.

S.W.A.T. (2003)
Corrected entry: If anyone has ever flown in one of those jets, you know that they accelerate like a sports car. There is no way the limo would be able to catch up unless the plane's door was open, but the door was only opened after the limo caught up.
Correction: If you listen someone says "get this plane up" or words to that effect, then the pilot says "get that door closed" meaning the door was probably open.

South Park (1997)
Corrected entry: When Mayor McDaniels goes on her rant, her aide says that her microphone is on, even though there is no point to do that as everyone had already left.
Correction: That still doesn't make it a good idea. Most of the people are walking away and are still in earshot of the speakers.

Van Wilder (2002)
Corrected entry: When Van's cart comes face to face with the teacher's car in the road, and the shots go back and forth from car to cart, in one closeup of the cart, you can see the tip of a microphone at the top of the screen, just to the left of the middle. (00:45:30)
Correction: It's not a microphone, simply one of the two 8 balls he has hanging from the cart.

Without a Paddle (2004)
Corrected entry: Right after the tree falls and the three guys are getting ready to leave, you can see a rope tied to a tree in the background that was used to anchor or pull the falling tree.
Correction: The rope was used to get them out of the pit they were in.

The Punisher (2004)
Corrected entry: When Howard Saint is starting to get suspicious of his wife and Quentin, he asks for last month's phone bill, but it only happened last Thursday, Sept. 5th. That would make it Thursday Sept. 12th, so I don't think last month's phone bill would really help. (01:30:05)
Correction: He asked for last month's bill because he was checking to see if this has been going on for longer than a week.

Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000 - S4-E2
Corrected entry: The same two cars leading the car chase are the same two cars that are in the front of the road block - how did they get past so quick?
Correction: It wouldnt be particularly hard, considering Cartman's 'car' was travelling at about 5 mph.

Lost in Space (1998)
Corrected entry: The way Penny describes what will happen to her brother in the vacuum of space is entirely fictional. Your blood does not boil, you do not blow up like a balloon. They have both spent the last three years in training for this mission, they should know facts. (00:08:15)
Correction: If you've ever had a sibling, you might have tried to exaggerate something (or lie) in order to scare them. Will might now that this is false which is why it doesn't seem to bother him.

Garfield: The Movie (2004)
Corrected entry: There is no license plate on the front of Liz's Nissan Pickup.
Correction: Not all states require a licence plate to be mounted on the front of a vehicle.

The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
Corrected entry: When Riddick does that neat trick to break his chains while being lowered into the prison, he breaks several links of the chain at once, but in reality, only the weakest link in the chain should break, not more than one.
Correction: That wasn't the traditional chain. The chain was magnetic and held together by some sort of wire string. When he broke that all the pieces slid off.

Stargate SG-1 (1997)
Corrected entry: The leader of the Tolans who is disgusted by the humans' technological inferiority is wearing a regular earth zipper on his costume.
Correction: Why is this a mistake? A zipper is a simple and effective method of fastening clothes. We have been using it for close to 100 years (1913). Once something so simple is in use, why waste time and money on finding something more fancy? And with all the cultures SG-1 finds, surely some things like buttons, zippers, bows and arrows, candles, etc are going to be the same from culture to culture. There are only so many ways to handle mundane tasks no matter how high your tech level is.

The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
Corrected entry: In the film, a comet always precedes the arrival of the Necromongers, but surely the advanced technology of the future would be able to easily distinguish a comet from giant spaceships.
Correction: If you look at the arriving ships, you will see ice smashing off them from a comet. They are really arriving in and around a comet. Plus it's not meant to be a literal description - everyone knows what it means, so there's no point saying "their arrival is preceded by something that looks exactly like a comet but actually isn't one".

Rat Race (2001)
Corrected entry: The rocket car technicians get excited when the rocket car breaks the old speed record, the problem is, you need two consecutive passes within an hour with an average speed to set a record. They would not be excited about how fast the car went, they would be concerned about getting the multi-million dollar vehicle back.
Correction: They are excited because the car has just shown it is capable of beating the record, even if it would not officially stand. They would probably be concerned after their excitement dies down.

I, Robot (2004)
Corrected entry: After the demolition robot demolishes the house, there is still quite a bit of it left, both walls are standing on either side, why would it stop? Need some context for this one - if it's destroying a house does there need to be any real method? According to the three laws, a robot is supposed to do everything it is told unless it interferes with one of the other laws, if the robot was told to demolish the house, why would it stop before the job was completed?
Correction: It was overwritten by USR and told to demolish the house with Spooner inside. Since he managed to escape, it was told to stop.

Correction: There's no such thing as "a scrat" even in the film, Scrat is a character name. He is a prehistoric squirrel.
