Moulin Rouge (2001)

Corrected entry: After Christian throws his money at Satine's feet in the theater, he walks down the long aisle to the back of the theater, passing the Duke. At the beginning of his walk down the aisle, he takes off his long white coat and throws it on the aisle floor, visible. In the next shot, the coat disappears from the aisle.

Correction: We never actually see the coat fall. Last we see it, it's hanging from Christian's arm. It's possible that he threw it, dropped it on an audience member, or somesuch that would have made it "disappear" from the aisle.

Moulin Rouge (2001)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Satine dies in Christian's arms, there is a shot where the camera films above them just as Christian bursts into tears. Watch Satine's eyes very closely, because as Christian rocks back Satine's head falls forward and she blinks very slowly, even though she's been dead for at least a couple of minutes.

Correction: She doesn't blink - her long eyelashes reflect the lights from above, and when she's jostled due to Christian's movements, it's the reflection that winks in and out, not her eyelid.

Jerry Maguire (1996)

Corrected entry: When Jerry and Dorothy see the deaf couple in the elevator, Dorothy mentions that her favourite aunt is hearing impaired - yet at their wedding later in the movie, Dorothy doesn't have any relatives from her family attending, aside from her sister. Funny how her favourite aunt just didn't get invited to such an important event. It makes it obvious that the writer had to make up a reason for Dorothy to know sign language.

Correction: There's many possible explanations. Her aunt may not still be living, she may not be able to travel, she may have not been have been able to make arrangements on such short notice, etc.

CocoCami

Deaf people also don't like to be called hearing impaired. One would think if she bothered to learn ASL for her that she would know that.

Corrected entry: Why didn't Ron just get off the stone horse instead of risking his life by taking the hit the queen gave out?

Correction: Because then he's not playing the part of the knight, and it would end Wizard's Chess. That would then invalidate the challenge and not allow them to pass.

Friends (1994)

Correction: Character error. And quite in keeping with Joey's character.

Ghost (1990)

Corrected entry: After Oda Mae was talking to Molly in her home for the first time, Oda Mae leaves the room annoyed. When she says "Have a nice life, and you, have a nice death", she points to the wrong characters.

Correction: She's pretty annoyed when she leaves. Character mistake while flustered doesn't make a movie mistake.

Forrest Gump (1994)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Forrest and Lt. Dan are on the shrimp boat and Forrest gets the call that "his momma is sick", he immediately jumps overboard and presumably swims to shore to start running home without changing clothes. But in the next shot he is shown running down the road wearing a different shirt and pants than before, and carrying his suitcase, which should still be on his boat since he lived on it.

Correction: It's not just possible, but probable that someone either gave Forrest his clothes and suitcase, or Forrest went back for them. His immediate reaction was likely not his ONLY reaction.

Way To Go - S6-E25

Corrected entry: The season finale, the opening shows Jim Brass being wheeled in to the ER. He is intubated but no one is compressing the bag to facilitate his breathing, he would die without this action.

OneHappyHusky

Correction: It's in slow motion. However, you can see the attendant on Brass's left squeeze the bag just before the scene cuts out.

Paper or Plastic - S4-E14

Corrected entry: A major subplot is why officer Fromansky killed the wife. The good officer maintains he was firing at a third villain running along the back aisle of the store. The husband and wife are established early in the episode running the opposite direction in the back aisle. But apparently, the husband never sees the third assailant, for otherwise there would be no mystery as to officer Fromansky's actions, as the husband would have corroborated the officer. How can the husband fail to see an assailant who is charging straight at him and his wife?

Correction: Because he's focused on his wife and trying to get her to get out of the way. Tunnel vision, he's blind to everything else going on around him. It's common in times of extreme stress/concentration.

Chicken Little (2005)

Correction: That's because he bumps it when he trips, knocking it off-kilter.

Silly People - S2-E14

Corrected entry: Susan has a wandering spleen and needs surgery to remedy it, but her former agent let her health insurance policy lapse. Without insurance, she cannot afford the surgery. Everyone agrees that the best solution is for her to marry someone with an excellent heath plan. The problem: no health plan would cover such a pre-existing condition immediately. They would have to eventually cover it (time varies by state) but she needs the surgery now. She shoots down the idea of seeking a legal solution, since her agent stole the money instead of making insurance payments, because she urgently needs the operation.

Rlvlk

Correction: Not necessarily. Especially in the case of marriage where a new subscriber is added to an existing plan, exceptions are made. And even as a totally new subscriber, I've had many pre-existing conditions covered immediately. It's not an absolute that it will be denied simply because it's pre-existing. If a problem is genetic, as a wandering spleen may be, it also may be excepted.

Grease 2 (1982)

Corrected entry: When Michael is helping Stephanie rewrite her essay, she writes that Hamlet was upset because he caught his mother and uncle "doing it in the sack". Hamlet was upset that they got married, but he never actually walked in on them.

Correction: Character mistake, not a movie mistake. Stephanie obviously hasn't fully read or understood Hamlet.

Corrected entry: They wouldn't have had Starbucks coffee shops in small towns in the 70's, but the family drives past one on their way to (or from, I don't remember) the restaurant.

Correction: Only the parents go to the restaurant, and they aren't shown driving to or from it. On the way home from the hospital, they do pass what looks like the Starbucks logo, but in fact says "Hair Designs Unltd" in the same green and white lettering.

Clueless (1995)

Corrected entry: When they are in the club, after Ty falls down the stairs, she ties her overshirt around her waist, in the next shot she isn't wearing it at all, then in the next shot she is wearing it over her shoulders, and a minute later it is back around her waist.

Correction: It's supposed to be obvious - it's showing how she's changing the shirt with hopes of getting someone to pay attention to her. In essence its a commonly used film technique to show that time has passed between shots.

Grease (1978)

Corrected entry: In the last song there is a shot over the fairground which shows a spinning rotor cage full of people. Back on the ground two seconds later the rotor cage is clearly visible in the background and obviously empty.

Correction: "We Go Together" is a montage of the carnival, not a true-to-the-minute depiction of time. (As evidenced by Jan and Doody "jumping" onto one of the rides and back off within a matter of seconds.) However, even with that, the rotor cage has time to land and empty between shots.
