Question: The sorting hat considered putting Harry in Slytherin. But if your parents or a past generation was put in Gryffindor, then wouldn't he have to be in Gryffindor? If not, then is it by luck that the Weasleys have been in the same house for so long?

moviefan2345

Chosen answer: No, there's no specific requirement that any individual has to be in the same house as their paren'ts or siblings. It's not uncommon that that's the case, admittedly, particularly as character plays a major part in the sorting process, so individuals brought up in the same household might end up in the same house simply by virtue of bearing similar character traits, but there are a considerable number of examples of family members being in different houses. Sirius Black, for example, was sorted into Gryffindor, despite his family's traditional presence in Slytherin. The Patil twins, who one might reasonably expect to end up in the same house, ended up being sorted differently, Parvati into Gryffindor and Padma in Ravenclaw (in the book, in the movie they are both in Gryffindor). So while it's quite common that house assignment runs in families, it's by no means a certainty.

Treehouse of Horror XXI - S22-E4

Continuity mistake: In the second segment, as Roger is telling them about what happened to him, as he finishes the story of Marge and Homer saving him, in his recount Marge is wearing a shirt and bikini bottoms (the shirt is covering the bikini bra). But when they saved her, she was just wearing a bikini.

Layer Cake (2004)

Factual error: (At 56:26) XXXX is dropped off by Eddie Temple. As you'll notice the car drives straight off (at 56:31). This not is possible as the road that XXXX lives at 7 Queens Gate Mews, Kensington is a cul-de-sac (no through road). The car would not have been able to go anywhere.

Continuity mistake: When Harry holds the mysterious locket up in front of Kreacher, the chains are together from Harry's POV and separated from Kreacher's.

Layer Cake (2004)

Deliberate mistake: The scene where XXXX gives Dragan the package next to the statue in Greenwich park is incorrect: Greenwich park is surrounded by fences and shut at night between 6pm in the winter and 10pm in the summer when it is still light.

Other mistake: Toto is listed in the end credits as being played by Toto, when he was actually played by a dog named Terry. A few years after the film was released, Terry's owner/trainer, Carl Spitz, changed the dog's name to Toto due to the popularity of the film, but the credit is wrong for the time.

The Wizard of Oz mistake picture

Revealing mistake: When Toto reveals the Wizard by pulling the curtain aside, he doesn't use his mouth; the curtain is tied to the dog. Dorothy can even be seen later removing the rope.
