The My Friend, the Gorilla Affair - S3-E14

Factual error: When Baby the gorilla walks around, he consistently does so bipedally, like a human. While gorillas can walk that way over short distances when carrying food or when defending themselves, they more commonly move quadrapedally on their knuckles.

Double Cap - S1-E19

Factual error: During their investigation, the CSIs learn, through a number of phone calls she made to her mother, that their murder victim was in the Witness Protection Program. Contacting family members is one of the cardinal sins of WITSEC; she would have been immediately relocated with another new identity, and not left in a city where people who want her dead know where she is.

Deliverance - S6-E15

Factual error: It is constantly mentioned that the number found at the crime scene is Gibbs' military service number. The Marine Corps stopped using service numbers on Jan. 1, 1972 and since has only used Social Security numbers for identification.

Along Came a Spider

Factual error: During Soneji's trial in part four, the prosecuting attorney objects when the defense asks Cross a leading question. Since Cross was called by the defense as a hostile witness, it is legally permitted to ask him leading questions.

To What End? - S7-E11

Factual error: During their investigation, the CSIs learn that their murder suspect is in the witness protection program, under FBI protection. WITSEC falls under the jurisdiction of the United States Marshals Service, not the FBI. And considering how many protected witnesses the Marshals Service relocates each year, it's doubtful they would be shorthanded enough to need help from another agency to locate a missing witness.

Factual error: After punching an opposing hockey player, Deacon is sent to the penalty box. Goalies are never sent to the box; they are assessed penalty minutes, and their time is served by a teammate.

Public Enemies (2009)

Factual error: When Purvis is outside Billie's apartment, looking at the transcript of her phone conversation with Dillinger, the page is from a printed word processor, not typed out on a typewriter.

Angels & Demons (2009)

Factual error: The College of Cardinals debate whether or not to allow Father McKenna into the papal election as a candidate via election by acclamation. That process of election was abolished by Pope John Paul II in 1996; the secret ballot method is the only legal means of electing a Pope.

Factual error: On page 296, Clapton mentions rehearsals for the Cream reunion began in May 2005 and lasted almost a month. But the reunion itself was held the first week of May, so it should say rehearsals began in April.

The Witch Is Back - S1-E9

Factual error: In the opening scene in Salem, Melinda Warren is going to be burned at the stake. But in the real Salem trials, no one was burned; all of the people convicted of witchcraft were hanged.

Show generally

Factual error: Numerous times in the establishing shots of San Francisco, the Embarcadero Freeway is visible. While the bridge did run along the San Francisco Bay, it was demolished in 1991 - seven years before the series even started.

One Giant Leap - S1-E3

Factual error: During Hiro's journey around New York, a Carl's Jr. restaurant is visible in the background. That restaurant isn't called "Carl's Jr." on the East coast; it's called "Hardee's."

The Time Has Come Today - S4-E25

Factual error: The diary that Brenda finds has a Precious Moments figure on the cover. Wendy, the character who owned it, wrote it between January 1968 (an entry mentions her new year's resolution) and August 1969 (when she attended Woodstock), but the company didn't exist under that name until the late 1980s.
