Corrected entry: Eli Wallach's character states a number of times he has 40 men. Assuming he is in addition to that, there should be 41, yet we see at least 44 die on screen. That does not count the ones shot at inside buildings when McQueen or Buchholz go charging through, or the one behind the window when McQueen is shot, or the ones that escape and ride away. This includes the 3 that spy on the town, 12 in the first shootout, and 29 in the big finale fight.

greydane

Correction: He's estimating, not stating the exact number of men he has. He doesn't have an exact count, and he doesn't even know all the faces of his men. Chico is able to infiltrate the group simply by putting on a different hat and a poncho. It's no different than a character saying someone is "6 feet tall" when in fact they are 6 foot 2; or saying that a town is "10 miles away" when it is in fact closer to 12 miles away. Based on the size of the group, Calvera estimates he has around 40 to 50 men, and simplifies it by saying he has "40 men."

Space Cowboys (2000)

Corrected entry: In the opening sequence Frank and Hawk are testing an X2. When the craft fails they eject. As is typical for such aircraft they are ejected strapped into their seats. Yet when their parachutes deploy and they land they are no longer in their seats.

greydane

Correction: This is not a mistake, with ejection seats the pilots are strapped to the parachute which is housed in the seat. Once the seat with pilot attached has vacated the aircraft, the parachute and pilot detach from the seat.

The Help (2011)

Corrected entry: During the scene when Hilley is driving in a hurry out to Skeeter's house after the book is released, there is an aerial shot where we see her car careening around a corner. She nearly runs off the road and is fish tailing down the road. Ahead of her car, skid marks from a fish tailing vehicle can be seen. These are most likely from additional takes of the same scene.

greydane

Correction: This is conjecture and not really based on fact. How do we know it wasn't a different vehicle from carousing teenagers speeding around on a country road?

Hot Fuzz (2007)

Correction: There are two Sergeant Turners. And although they are both played by Bill Bailey, they are two seperate characters as seen near the end of the movie. Therefore it is normal that there would be casting credits for both characters as opposed to just one.

Unstoppable (2010)

Corrected entry: In the closing scene during the press conference, the 777 is parked on the tracks in the background with what appears to be the same cars it was hauling, indicating this is shortly after the incident ended. Connie is arriving in a rush and it appears as if she has not met Colvin and Barnes before, reinforcing that image. Yet Ned is now wearing a suit and tie, while Colvin and Barnes are still in the same clothes. On the other hand, Colvin's leg is now in a cast indicating he has had time for at least an emergency room visit.

greydane

Correction: So what? Doesn't take long to put on a suit and tie, and Colson would undoubtedly have been rushed to a hospital as a matter of priority, so he could quite conceivably have made it back for the press conference within a few hours. Likewise Connie would initially have been busy dealing with the aftermath of what happened, making her only arriving on the scene at this point entirely reasonable. There are no indications that would suggest that this could not be happening within a few hours of the end of the incident.

Iron Man 2 (2010)

Corrected entry: After the scene where Tony Stark takes strawberries to Pepper in the office, as he leaves after everyone else he pauses to look at the 'Expo' city model. In the next scene he has the model disassembled and sticking up out of his care as he speeds down the highway. Then in the next scene after he has reassembled the model he blows dust from it. After being driven at high speed, much less all the handling to disassemble and reassemble it, the model should not have any significant dust on it.

greydane

Correction: Only the front piece and the edges of the other pieces would have had the dust blown off them. The middle sections of the other pieces would still be dusty.
