Continuity mistake: During the final battle on board the 'flying wing' between Captain America and Red Skull, the finish on CA's shield appears damaged and scorched. Yet in the opening sequence of the movie when his shield is discovered under ice inside the frozen 'flying wing' it appears undamaged.

Continuity mistake: When Frances takes Helen to sleep in the car, he puts her in the back seat from the drivers side. In the morning the camera is looking at her through the the window of the door on which she appears to be leaning. Yet when she gets out of the car later in the scene, there is a canvas draped over the door way.

Continuity mistake: In the big finale where Ned is racing alongside the train in his truck and picks up Colson, they have said that the 777 is at 75 mph and gaining speed toward 80. Yet the view of Ned's speedometer shows him just getting to 70 mph while he is passing the train. To be passing the train he would have to have been in the 90-100 mph range.

Factual error: In the scene where they try to slow the train with 2 engines and lower an engineer aboard, at the end the 2 engines derail as they go onto a siding and explode. Engines like these would never explode in real life, and none have ever done so in any derailment in history. They only contain diesel fuel which is very difficult to ignite, only other cars with flammable materials ever explode in real derailments. In the scene they do not strike anything else with explosive potential, and the explosion is not necessary for the plot. The engineer aboard could likely have died still just from the speed of the derailment.

Continuity mistake: When Horst Buchholz confronts the girl that was spying on him along the stream, her hair (braids) change position. When he first stops her and she begins to struggle and slapping him, he grabs her wrists. At first the shot is from behind her back and both braids are behind her. When the shot changes to face her over his shoulder one braid is on her chest.

Continuity mistake: Late in the scene where Horst Buchholz's character confronts the girl that was spying on him along the stream, her hair (braids) change again. As she is responding "I will never tell you" her braid is on her chest. Then the camera changes angle slightly and the braid is over her shoulder on her back.

Trivia: In the credits, the 'music supervisor' is listed as Nick Angel, same name as the main character. This comes after the roll of actors during a list of some production staff before the roll of characters. It follows 'music by David Arnold' and before 'casting by Nina Gold'.
