Continuity mistake: In the London Underground station, Silva walks down a flight of stairs. On the left side of the stairs are two men. In the next shot, it's only one (totally different) man.

Continuity mistake: When Silva and Bond jump onto the sides of the escalators, there is a sign at the top. Whilst they are sliding down the escalator, the sign at the top is no longer there.

Audio problem: At the casino bar, Bond is talking to Severine. The camera angle switches behind Bond and he says "I'm guessing he was your way out" but his mouth doesn't move. The angle switches to facing Bond and you can see the side of his face move on his next line.

M's house in this film is the former home of James Bond composer John Barry.

The title song "Skyfall" was the first James Bond theme to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and was the first to earn an Oscar nomination since the song for 1981's "For Your Eyes Only".

On the island, Silva pours a drink and says '50 years old.' Skyfall was released 50 years after Dr. No, the first Bond movie.
