Open Water mistakes
Audio problem: When the couple is flying to their vacation destination, they are in a Turbo-Prop aircraft. The sound affect used was from a piston engined aircraft.
Continuity: In one scene where the husband looks under water to see where the sharks are he gets startled and raises up out of the water. As his face comes up he removes his mask. The camera angle changes and in the next shot you see him removing his mask again.

No digital- or special effects were used in the film. The actors were in the water with real live sharks.
Susan's last name is revealed to be Watkins, Daniels' is Kitner. Chrissie Watkins and Alex Kitner were the first two victims in "Jaws".
