Star Trek: Deep Space Nine mistakes

Mistake Continuity: When Dukat pours wine (in close-up) for himself and Adami, the glasses each contain very different amounts of wine as he puts the bottle down. But in the wider shot, he hands Adami her glass while holding his own, and both appear to have the same amount of wine.

Mistake Continuity: At the end of the episode, Odo has sent everyone affected by the telepathic matrix to a cargo bay. Sisko and O'Brien remove their com badges, throwing them aside before heading to the bay. After everyone is cured, Sisko straightens back up and, in the closeup, you can see that he has a badge on. In the next closeup, its gone again.

Mistake Revealing: In episode 'The Passenger', when the Koblian officer opens Vantika's eyes to run a retinal scan, his pupils dilate, despite the fact that he is dead.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine trivia

Mistake In the scene where Kira and Dr. Bashir are talking, she points to her pregnant stomach and says "This is all your fault, you know" referencing that Bashir was the one who transplanted Keiko's baby into Kira. This is an inside joke, because in reality Alexander Siddig and Nana Visitor were an item, and Siddig was indeed the father of her baby.

Mistake Buck Bokai, a baseball player from the 21st Century, who becomes "real" in this episode, broke Joe DiMaggio's consecutive hitting streak in 2026. While he's not physically seen or referred to by name, this fact is mentioned in the 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' episode "The Big Goodbye."

Mistake Valiant was the original working name for the USS Defiant when it was being designed for the show.
