Question: Wouldn't Sisko have created a paradox by identifying himself by his real name to James T. Kirk before returning to the future?
Chosen answer: No. He's given his name, that's all. Nothing there that might lead to a paradox. If he's gone into detail about his time travelling, that might cause an issue or two, but simply stating his name does nothing.
Answer: No more so than Sisko posing for a photo in the 21st century while pretending to be Gabriel Bell.
Answer: His last name is something Kirk will forget, since he was on temporary assignment and essentially passing through.
Question: I've noticed in some episodes the person playing Dr. Bashir is credited as Siddig El Fadil and in others he's Alexander Siddig. At what point in the series did he have the name change?
Answer: He changed his name after the third season because people were having difficulty pronouncing his last name."Alexander Siddig" is the name he typically goes by as his full birth name, "Siddig El Tahir El Fadil El Siddig Abderahman Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Karim El Mahdi", is far too verbose and complex for screen credits.
Question: Two questions: 1. When Odo is being tortured, he tells Garak that he wants to return to the Great Link. Did Odo really want to return or did he just say that to get the torture to stop? 2. If Odo did want to return, why? Considering the atrocities the Founders committed, wouldn't he want nothing to do with them?
Answer: Part of the answer is found in "The Search: Part II" (season 3 episode 2). The female changeling told Odo that "the urge to return home was implanted in your genetic makeup. So he hardly has a choice in that. But being a sentient, thinking being, he recognizes the atrocities that his people are behind and he can't condone their actions. So it's a matter of his conscious mind warring with his instinctual gestalt. But on a more general level, we all instinctually wish to be among people who are like us. No matter how much he may like and love those around him and feel that emotion returned, there are numerous aspects of his life and existence that absolutely nobody on DS9 can empathize with or understand. And that's not even to address the pure joy and acceptance that is brought by the Great Link.

Question: Why did the businessman, Zolan, make the false accusations of Rugal being abused by his adopted parents?
Answer: I think he was working for Gul Dukat, since he disappeared after making the accusations. Dukat wanted Rugal's father to be embarrassed one day, when it was discovered that his son was being raised by Bajorans.
Question: Kira was going to plant a bomb to take out the computer to stop the mine detonation, but instead Rom spends some time trying to disable it. Why did they not use a bomb, which would have been much quicker?
Answer: The bomb was to be used as a last resort. They knew by taking it out, it could crash the entire system. Air, gravity and environmental systems. That's why Kira was happy for Rom's escape but only had minutes to disable it.
Question: This probably spans the whole Star Trek series, but I noticed it specifically on DS9. How does the computer locate an individual on the station without a com badge, but at the same time, can't locate an individual if his or her com badge is taken off (i.e. the computer only locates the com badge)? Is it ever revealed, in any Star Trek show, if individuals (such a guest) without com badges are given something else?
Answer: The Com badges are Starfleet issue and most likely programmed for each individual. Most visitor's individual physical measurements are taken when boarding a ship or station for security reasons. Height, weight, age gender and nationality.
Answer: Worf: Curzon's name is an honored one among my people. Dax: (in Klingon) Yeah, but I'm a lot better looking than he was.
