Other mistake: In the hunt out in the wilderness - where Jane looks in the binoculars - there is a cover on one lens - but it shows you can see both sides. (00:30:27)

Continuity mistake: When Pitt is chasing after Jolie, he crashes through a fence and fires his gun, hitting the car's windshield. To the left of where Pitt is, you'll notice that there's one rail missing in the middle. When he climbs through the fence to the street, the fence rail has returned, and the hole left by Pitt is now slightly wider, just enough for him to climb through. (00:45:40)

Revealing mistake: When Pitt is on the roof of Jolie's car, he breaks the window in order to get into the car. First off, when played in slow motion, the feet never do touch the glass before it explodes. Second, all newer vehicles have shatter proof glass both on the windshield and the side windows. In real life the glass would have just cracked, not blown out as it did in the film. (00:46:25)

Continuity mistake: When Jane enters her house with the girls, the front door has a chain door lock. When John enters with the neighbor there is no chain door lock. (00:50:15 - 00:51:45)

Continuity mistake: During the scene when John and Jane are dancing in the hotel restaurant when they first start to dance the large set of windows are behind them but once they start to move just before he knocks her head into the mirror breaking it they now have the large window still in the shot but now on the left side of them even though they never turned except there is a cut. Other mistake: In the scene where Jane and John race home, we see Jane smashing her Mercedes C320 wagon into John's Lincoln town car. Both these vehicles have airbags, yet they do not deploy upon the impact between the two cars. (01:07:25)

Continuity mistake: When Brad and Angelina are in the basement right before it blows up, Brad is holding a 6 shooter and when he is running out of the basement the second he runs outside and starts shooting he is holding a different gun. (01:21:25 - 01:22:00)

Continuity mistake: When the Smiths steal the van from the Coleman's, a cross on a rope is hanging from the rear view mirror. During the BMW chase, the rope goes from being almost a foot long to about two inches long. (01:23:30 - 01:24:40)

Factual error: While John is crawling through the sewer pipes, Jane's monitor shows his GPS location as 47.28 N 12.46 W, 35 feet below sea level. This places him under the Atlantic Ocean, somewhat north of the tip of Spain - nowhere close to New York, or any other streets for that matter. (01:34:00)

Factual error: The movie is supposed to take place in and around New York City, however during the car chase where Angelina and Brad are fighting off the three BMW's, a wide shot clearly shows a street sign announcing Los Angeles.

Continuity mistake: During one of the scenes when Brad Pitt arrives home, he is driving a Lincoln Town Car, not his Cadillac. This is the car that he doesn't get until later, when he steals it and drives home during the scene when they crash the cars into each other at the end of the driveway.

Suggested correction: Didn't he steal the Lincoln after the restaurant?

He did. But, the car appears before he steals it when he drives home after going to her office.

Visible crew/equipment: John pushes his newly captured prisoner into the back of the van Jane is in. As he closes the van door you can see an extra arm behind John's back moving over to hold the doors closed.

John: Come to Daddy...
[Jane beats him onto the floor.]
Jane: Who's your Daddy now?

Trivia: A subtle clue that Brad Pitt is a secret agent/spy: he drinks vodka martinis with two olives - shaken, not stirred - just like that other famous spy, James Bond.

More trivia for Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Question: How does Mrs. Smith get to know that her husband is the shooter?

Answer: She notices that he shakes his right leg twice after peeing, just like her husband.

Answer: It comes down to a deleted scene. And I remember it as clear as day from when I saw it at the cinemas. There is a scene where Jane is brushing her teeth at the basin. John walks into the large bathroom and begins to take a leak. As John finishes up, Jane looks over her shoulder at him, just in time to see him lift one leg and give it a couple of sharp shakes. Later in the movie, after the ailed assignment/shootout in the desert, Jane is watching the footage of the other assassin doing the very same memorable action. Right as she is in the middle of replaying it back a couple of times, John turns up at her building, and one of her agents who has answered the intercom says, "Jane, it's your husband." And that is when the penny drops! For some bizarre, unknown reason, they removed that very important key bathroom scene from every TV and DVD release, leaving people who did not see the theatrical release at the box office asking the question of how Jane realized it was her husband.

Answer: From the way he stands and moves, height, weight and general mannerisms.

Answer: They worked for different agencies and were unaware that they had been given the same target (Diaz?) to kill in the desert. Mrs Smith initially thought that Mr Smith was a civilian that just happened to interfere with her assignment. She was given 48 hours to identify and eliminate (kill) the "witness." While reviewing the videotape of the scene, all Mrs Smith could see was the back side of the "civilian." While still looking at him, a secretary or similar employee yelled from outside the room that Mrs Smith's husband was on the phone and was back from his trip to Atlanta. By the secretary saying, "It's your husband" during the time Mrs Smith was looking at his back side on the tape, plus the information that he was back from Atlanta, it became obvious to her... and she wondered how she could have been so stupid to not know before this time.
