Continuity: When Fairy Godmother is throwing the books behind her, the book "Snow White" lands on the other books. "Snow White" noticeably changes position between two shots. Submitted by Hamster

Continuity: When the door to Shrek's house is first opened (just after the honeymoon), it opens into the house. Every other time it opens to the outside. It's not a two-way door, because you can hear it hit the doorframe.

Continuity: When Shrek and everyone else are trying to get into the castle, shots of Shrek facing back toward the other side of the drawbridge are missing the others, i.e. the pigs, Wolf, Donkey, Puss, Pinocchio, and mice.

Audio problem: When the Fairy Godmother sings "Holding Out for a Hero" she tells the pianist to 'put it in C minor,' yet the pianist immediately begins to play in G minor, and the rest of the song is sung in that key.

Continuity: When Puss in Boots plants his sword in the ground then jumps out of his boots, his sword, boots and hat are nowhere near any trees or grass. Yet after attacking Shrek, Puss in Boots lands in his boots, and his boots, sword and hat have moved to being right beside a tree. Submitted by Hamster

Continuity: When Fiona shows her fighting talent by saving Shrek, they approach the trap holding hands, yet Fiona is not even visible in the medium range shot when Shrek is caught.

Deliberate "mistake": The hook handed man's voice changes between the two times he is playing the piano in the Poison Apple, due to the two different singers used to voice him.

Continuity: When Shrek, Donkey and Puss all go to the barn to shelter themselves from the rain, the doors open inward. Later, after the potion has taken effect and Donkey's showing off his trotting ability, the doors open outward.

Continuity: When Puss is getting the Happily Ever After potion from behind the glass, the piece of glass he cuts out to pull the potion through disappears when the camera angle changes.

Continuity: The spoon Shrek uses to eat the 'soup' appears from nowhere between shots. It wasn't there previously when Shrek looks at the dinner set, and why would anyone bring it out if they don't need spoons until the actual soup is brought out? Submitted by Hamster

Continuity: In the 'chase scene' in the Fairy Godmother's factory, Shrek, Donkey and Puss spin quickly on a rotating device. In the shots where they are spinning, there is no sign of anyone in the background. Yet there is a gang of archers who had been shooting at them in the same room.

Deliberate "mistake": When Shrek first meets Puss In Boots, Puss In Boots bursts out of Shrek's clothes "Alien" style leaving a tear. Then when we see them enter the Fairy Godmother's factory the tear is gone for the rest of the movie.

Continuity: In the scene where Shrek, Fiona and her family are dining, when Shrek and Fiona's father start to bicker and angrily eat their food, they both go for the pig in the middle of the table. This should have been impossible as the table in other shots is shown to be too long for either of them to reach considering they are both sitting at opposite ends. This is shown especially when the pig goes flying into the air.

Continuity: When Puss is stealing the Happily Ever After potion, he breaks the protective sheet of glass while trying to get the bottle out, but the shards of glass that should be raining down disappear in mid-air.

Plot hole: Fiona knocks out Charming at the ball. Puss, sitting on donkey's back, holds the magic wand. They are 5-7 meters from the spot where Charming falls. There is a short clip where the Fairy Godmother talks with the King - and suddenly Charming grabs the wand from Puss. He couldn't have gotten up and over there so fast - and without anyone noticing. Continuity: At the dinner scene, Shrek says "better out than in" to Fiona. After that, the handwashing bowl and the shell's plate suddenly changes.

Continuity: When the pig is holding onto the fairy godmother's leg, his hat falls off and lands underneath. But as the fight for the wand continues, that hat disappears.

Continuity: When Puss jumps down from Donkey and does his "cute" act, all but one knight raise their visors. Puss then drops his cuteness and attacks the knights. All of them now have their visors down, too quickly and without any noise.

Continuity: Just one shot before Pinnochio is finally tangled in stripes, we can see his limbs are only a little bit wrapped in stripes, and then we see him tangled completely in stripes many times.

Other: In the scene where Shrek wakes up to find himself human in the barn, Puss is holding the potion bottle, reading its disclaimer. What is wrong, is the shadows on the floor (casting behind him) don't match the shadows on his body (casting to the right side).
