Continuity mistake: Dick Jones brags (admits?) to Robocop, "I had to kill Bob Morton because he made a mistake. Now, it's time to erase that mistake" while Robocop is crouched on the ground, not only looking away from him from across the room, but also Robocop's eyes are in a vertical position. Continuity mistake: When Eliot Ness is at Jim Malone's house for the first time, Malone's collar is opened, then buttoned, then open again.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the girl jumps to her death from the balcony, it shows her hitting the car towards the right halfway onto the windshield. Then in the next shot, it shows her lying right in the middle of the roof of the car. (00:04:05)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, before Karla's robbery of the jewelry store, when the limo turns the corner the front license plate reads "Dent". However, when the limo parks in front of Adriano's its front license plate reads "77". (00:00:25)
Continuity mistake: When Gekko is talking to the board of Blue Star Airlines in Bud's apartment, Michael Douglas is wearing a suit, but white sneakers can be seen on his feet. In the next shot, he is wearing dress shoes.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning, after Dennis Quaid has been beaten up, the pins on his jacket are pinned, then hanging askew, then pinned again. (00:03:55)
Continuity mistake: When Hi, Gale and Evelle are sitting in the trailer talking about robbing the bank, watch the newspaper on Hi's lap. It goes from being folded to being fully opened in his hands between shots.
Continuity mistake: In the car chase scene, the escaped convict and police are exchanging gun fire between cars. In the different shots of the police car, the bullet holes in the windshield appear and disappear several times. Also, when three shots have been fired at the police car there are four bullet holes in the windshield.
Continuity mistake: When Julian sarcastically sings 'Silent Night,' he jumps up in the car and knocks the mirror on the dash upwards out of place. In the next shot it shows it back to normal and then it goes out of place again.
Continuity mistake: When Kathleen goes to talk to Carl, her client, while he's in restraints she writes "You're deaf, aren't you!" on a legal pad then sits on his bed. She's holding her Sharpie in her hand, cap end up. When the perspective changes to Carl's, the Sharpie is cap end down. The shots go back and forth another time the same way.
Continuity mistake: When their car blows up, look in the background and you can see Friday practically kneeling on the ground, and Streebeck falls over completely. Within two seconds (and a couple of cuts) they're both standing up, fully alert with their guns out - Friday might just have managed it at a push, but Streebeck went from face down on the pavement to upright far too quickly.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, the two balloons are in the air. As one of them goes down to land, we see a shot with balloons on the ground. In the next shot, one of them is still up and flying.
Continuity mistake: In the car, after the laundromat, Larry and Owen are talking, and Larry's laundry is in the passenger seat in a basket that is not seen until a minute later, when it is suddenly very visible.
Continuity mistake: When the four men are shot at the estate gate there's desk behind them with a hat lying on it. During the shooting the hat gets blown away, but in the next shot from the other side the hat is back in place. (02:00:50)
Continuity mistake: Theresa Russell makes the private investigator shoot an overdose of heroin. He rolls up the same sleeve in consecutive shots.
Continuity mistake: When Margaret is getting rid of the evidence of Billy Hahn visiting her, she crumples up the papers in his file and tosses them onto the file. The next shot showing her getting her gun out of the drawer, the paper is gone, then a different angle shows the large crumpled wad again, then again, a new angle shows an even bigger crumpled wad.
Continuity mistake: When he puts the pins in her eyes, evey time it is shown it's different - sometimes they are all covered in blood, sometimes only some of them or one, and sometimes there's no blood at all.
Continuity mistake: Donna and Taryn hold the lower part of the Polaroid picture. Shot changes and one hand holds the upper part and the other the lower part.
Continuity mistake: During the dinner quickly interrupted by the record. Anthony Marston raises his glass to Vera, but his hand was nowhere near the glass in the previous shot - not even on the table. (00:14:30)
Continuity mistake: The car in the garage moves from the parking spot to outside of the parking designated spots despite the car never starting. (00:05:10)
