It then cuts to the first scene with Pocahontas, which is before Rolf arrives in America, and the friend says that it is a long time since the news arrived of John Smith's death. There's no time for this news to have reached them.
Other mistake: When Christine is shot near the end of the film, there's no blood on her dress or the Phantom's hands.
Other mistake: During the intro, the Poet (voiced by the author of the original book, Luis SepĂșlveda) is frying a couple of eggs. When he does his dramatic rendition though, he moves the frying pan in ways that would certainly spill its content. (00:01:20)

Other mistake: Immediately after Fagin deposits Oliver and the dogs on the sidewalk, Oliver has no shadow. Then, a few scenes later, neither Oliver nor Tito have a shadow.
Other mistake: The scene where Robin Ignico mentions Annie's new dog Sandy "but there's no bite in him," Lucy Stewart can be seen re-mouthing Robin's line.
Other mistake: The interiors of Miss Price's house is definitely not from a British country house. The ground floor looks more like an American 70's house.
Other mistake: The film is set in 1931. One of the characters uses the phrase "plenty of nutting." This phrase comes from the song composed three years later in 1934 for the musical Porgy and Bess.
Other mistake: During Lady's first night home, there's a shot of the family's clock: the number seven is painted as a six.
Other mistake: He says his father won the sculling 1928 Olympics, which doesn't match up with their ages.
Other mistake: Before the opening scene, where there is a paragraph setting up the history of the musical, in the third line there is a spelling error: "it's" should be "its" since it is a possessive pronoun and not a contraction.
Other mistake: During the subway scene, when Dorothy, Tin Man and Scarecrow are trapped behind the red fence, there is no lock on the door in the fence. The door bounced once before falling shut, so it's probably not stuck. So how are Dorothy, Tin Man and Scarecrow unable to push it open?
Other mistake: When Bilbo is looking at Thror's Map, he says "This hand points from these runes," but there are no runes visible where the hand is. Later, Elrond reads the Moon Letters that appear there, and says that they say, "Stand by the grey stone when the Thrush knocks, and the last light of the setting sun will shine upon the keyhole." But the Moon Letters actually translate to "Five feet high the door and three may walk abreast."
Other mistake: When Eliza throws the slippers at Higgins, one bounces off him and falls in the area of the doorway and the other lands in the middle of the hall. One slipper is seen in the hall in two different scenes, then when Higgins goes to pick them up they are both together in the hall.
Other mistake: Eleanor is eating a corn dog with a fork at the ice rink snack bar. Corn dogs are not listed on the menu though.
