Killer With a Long Arm - S1-E4

Factual error: The assassination attempt takes place on Wimbledon Finals Day, yet there seem to be other matches going on at the same time, which doesn't happen when the final's occurring.

When the Heat Cools Off - S1-E9

Factual error: The pre-titles sequence makes reference to "the long hot summer of '71". Yet the trees that are visible in this scene are bare - which betrays the fact that this episode was, in fact, filmed in the winter (November 1977 to be exact).

Stakeout - S1-E10

Factual error: The bomb-disposal Major wears the badge of a Royal Engineer soldier, depicting laurel leaves. This is incorrect - the correct design should be one of a flaming grenade.

Long Shot - S1-E11

Factual error: Ramos uses a bolt-action rifle in the tower. Such a weapon cannot deliver three shots in rapid succession, as the bolt has to be manually pulled between each shot.

Killer With a Long Arm - S1-E4

Factual error: The assassination attempt takes place on Wimbledon Finals Day, yet there seem to be other matches going on at the same time, which doesn't happen when the final's occurring.

Private Madness, Public Danger - S1-E1

Trivia: "Private Madness Public Danger" was the first ever episode of the Professionals to be broadcast. However, it was the sixth episode to be made, and was originally to have been the SECOND episode to be broadcast. Throughout the entire six year life of the series (December 1977 to February 1983) the order the episodes were made bore little resemblance to when they were first shown. Some episodes were left "on the shelf" for up to two years before being shown.
