Trivia
The closing scenes were shot through green-gold filters to give the streets a drab, hellish appearance. An appalled film lab technician tried to dye the sequence pink, and defied the director's order to "leave it green." NBC, the lab tech argued, would never accept those scenes because this was supposed to be color television. After demanding several re-dos, the director won the shouting match, the green prevailed, and NBC, apparently, never noticed. See more...
The Little Black Bag (season 1, episode 7)
The House (season 1, episode 9)
Continuity: After she leaves the sanitarium, Elaine's long blonde hair is blowing wildly in the wind as she drives. In the next shot, with no time for her to have combed it, her hair is neatly coiffed again.
Visible crew/equipment: When the Chrysler 300 convertible pulls up in front of the haunted house, the camera crew and several light panels are reflected in the car's door and side.
Lone Survivor (season 1, episode 14)
Continuity: When the ship's captain is questioning the survivor, the man is sitting up with the iron bedstead behind him. When the shot cuts, he's suddenly lying flat with his head on the pillow.
Since Aunt Ada Came to Stay (season 2, episode 9)
Continuity: When she leaves the campus, Joanna gets wet running through the rain to her car. Just minutes later, she arrives home completely dry and with her hair neatly coiffed again.
A Fear of Spiders (season 2, episode 12)
Visible crew/equipment: While the janitor works on Justice's thermostat, a large piece of blocking tape can be seen on the carpet in front of the door in the background.
House - with Ghost (season 2, episode 26)
Factual error: Ellis trots up the stairs with his wife's dinner, shaking and bouncing the tray all the way. But when he arrives, the liquid in the tray's very full glass of milk hasn't spilled a single drop.
Dr. Stringfellow's Rejuvenator (season 2, episode 28)
Continuity: In the saloon, Stringfellow pours himself a drink and picks up his glass. When the camera angle reverses, his glass is back on the table and his hand is on the bottle instead. In the next shot, he's holding the glass again.
Audio problem: When Stringfellow beats his drum to attract a crowd to his medicine show, the sound doesn't match the strikes he's making with his drumstick.
Cool Air (season 2, episode 35)
Factual error: Muñoz's name is misspelled on his headstone as "Dr. Juan Munos," omitting the tilde and changing the z to an s.
Visible crew/equipment: In the 1920s, Agatha takes a taxi to Muñoz's house. In the background, through the taxi's rear window, you can see a large white 1970s Universal Studios panel truck being loaded next to another building on the back lot.
Continuity: During Juan and Agatha's dinner together, the camera circles them, passing behind Juan (where an "invisible" cut occurs) and continuing to move left around the table. Between the two segments, the position of Agatha's hands changes noticeably.
Visible crew/equipment: When the landlady opens the glass-paned door, it reflects a large, round studio light.
Continuity: While she talks to Mrs. Gibbons on the stairs, Agatha's paper sack changes its position and appearance several times between shots.
Camera Obscura (season 2, episode 36)
Factual error: Gingold's camera obscura shows us a cross-fade. That's a special effect the Victorian device wasn't capable of performing.
Quoth the Raven (season 2, episode 37)
Factual error: While Edgar Allan Poe is penning his famous poem, a close-up of the paper shows us that he's misspelled his own middle name as "Allen."
The Messiah on Mott Street (season 2, episode 38)
Plot hole: No one in Goldman's house finds it at all strange that a mailman arrives at the door with a letter after midnight on Christmas Eve. Nor, a short time later, does the doctor or anyone else passing by at this very odd hour wonder why the same mailman is collecting mail from a street box at dawn on Christmas Day.
Logoda's Heads (season 2, episode 42)
Continuity: As Kyra is leaving the village, Logoda's fang necklace, in close-up, has two of its teeth flipped over and out of alignment with the rest. In full shot, though, all the teeth are back in perfect order.
Green Fingers (season 2, episode 43)
Visible crew/equipment: When the chauffeur opens the limo door, the camera and film crew are reflected in the window.
The Waiting Room (season 2, episode 51)
Continuity: It's the 1800s, and Dicter rides up to a building that has every window, upstairs and down, blazing with what is obviously electric light. When he walks into the ground floor saloon, however, there are no bright lights. It's dark and dim inside.
