That Time of Year - S6-E4

Continuity mistake: When dispatched to singles club fire, Engine 51 pulls into the parking lot, and there's a shot of Mike hooking up the supply line to the hydrant, with Marco at the side of the engine, but it cuts back to Engine 51 in the lot again, with Mike behind the wheel and Marco sitting in the jump seat, and there is no supply line hooked up, then the engine drives further into the lot.

That Time of Year - S6-E4

Continuity mistake: At the singles club fire, after Roy and Johnny go in to look for the missing man, we see Mike charging the lines, then there's a shot of two of 16's guys walking past the stairway with a hose, and notice that on the stairway we can see Johnny's and Roy's legs heading down the stairs. This same shot is shown again after Roy and Johnny check the men's room upstairs, and once again we see Roy and John coming down the stairs when 16's guys walk past them.

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy are in the ER after the cave-in rescue, while they're talking to Dixie and Brackett, we can see how long Johnny's hair is. After they get back to the station, when the guys decide to name the dog Henry, there's a closeup of Johnny and now his hair is much shorter and even layered at the sides. Additionally, the dirty areas on his shirt change.

Visible crew/equipment: While John's trapped with the two men in the cave-in, he digs and finds the opening to the pipe, and when he starts shouting up to Roy, the cameraman's knee/leg is right beside John's left hand, at the lower right corner of the screen. It really is.

Other mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to 'man with head injury' which is the fighting couple, the dispatcher says "10763 Riverton, cross street Valleyheart Drive," but when they arrive the two street signs at the intersection read "Valleyheart Drive 10700" and "Riverton Ave 4000." The house number is 10763, so the dispatcher should have said, "10763 Valleyheart Drive, cross street Riverton."

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Visible crew/equipment: After Roy and Johnny get back to the station the other guys tell them to check the dog to see if he's sick, and when Roy checks Henry's pupils and Johnny checks his pulse, all the guys are standing behind Johnny and Roy., and we can see the shadows of crew movement in the kitchen at the top right corner of the screen.

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: After John heads down to the victims of the cave-in, when they send down the drug box with the HT, the trauma case is still beside Roy, but when Johnny asks for the blankets the trauma case is gone. Then Johnny gives Roy the victims vitals, and when Johnny goes to the vent pipe to get the blankets they just sent down, suddenly the trauma case is down below with him, and it's open, but Johnny never retrieved the case before getting the blankets. Additionally, Roy tells Rampart that the victim has a "large discoloration on the chest", even though John never said anything about it to Roy, when he gave the victim's vitals over the HT.

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Visible crew/equipment: When Johnny and Roy get back to the station and walk into the day room, right after Marco says, "Well, either he's sick, or he's the laziest dog ever lived," we can see the shadow of the boom mic moving back and forth across the top of the wall, on the right.

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: At the start of the episode, we see the squad and engine pull back into the station, and one of the guys - it would be either Marco or Chet, is standing on the engine's tailboard motioning to Mike, who is driving backwards, but in the next shot both Marco and Chet are seated in their jumpseats as Engine 51 comes to a stop.

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: At the structure fire, when Roy and Johnny rescue the man in room 22 by breaking the window, the door to room A is right beside them and we can see the axe mark on the door and the damage to the wall. When Johnny and Roy go back through the window to look for the missing Dr. Bennis, as Johnny uses the K-12, the door to room A now has many more axe marks and the damaged wall is far less damaged.

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Visible crew/equipment: At the cave-in site with the trapped men, when Johnny is up top and also when he's being lowered down to the men, the bulging outline of Johnny's mic transmitter is visible on the front, left of his shirt, right above his belt.

Other mistake: Squad 51 is dispatched to the fighting couple three different times, and we hear the dispatcher give the address cross street as "Valleyheart," but all three times the subtitles read, "Valley Park." Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: At the structure fire, before Roy and Johnny go back through the window to look for the missing doctor, Johnny's and Roy's SCBA cylinders have no stickers, but when Johnny's cutting the door, his tank now has two white stickers and Roy's tank has one on the side, then when they're back outside the stickers are gone.

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: When John and Roy get back to the station and the other guys tell them to check the dog to see if he's sick, in the shot facing the dog he's lying on the middle couch cushion, but in the shot facing the guys he's lying on the corner couch cushion.

Fair Fight - S6-E5

Character mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to the fighting couple the first time timeout is 10:12, and the second call to that house timeout is 12:37. When Roy and John are there the first time, it's for no more than five minutes. Then when they're there the second time, Roy says "Please folks, we just went through this less than an hour ago," though it was over two hours when they left the fighting couple the first time.

Breakdown - S6-E15

Charlie: I think you guys are playing games with me, and I don't like it.
Roy: Now, wait a minute. We're not playing games. We don't play games with the equipment...
Captain Stanley: Wait, hold on. C'mon everybody, look we're all on the same side here, aren't we?
Charlie: I wonder.
Captain Stanley: Charlie, why can't we put the squad in the shop and have us a reserve vehicle here?
Charlie: No, no, Hank. Not until I'm 100% sure that I can't fix it. If there's anything wrong with it. This coffee stinks. [Leaves the room.]
Captain Stanley: You guys playing some kind of joke on him?
John: We didn't make the coffee!
Captain Stanley: Not the coffee, you twit, the squad.
Roy: Cap, there's something wrong with that squad out there.
Captain Stanley: [sigh.] All right, if you say so... I made the coffee.

The Promise - S3-E11

Trivia: During Richard's rescue from the ledge at Rampart, the snorkel that Roy and Brackett climb onto is Truck 127, from Station 127 aka Station 51. Truck 127 is used in many episodes requiring a snorkel, including 1x6, "Dealer's Wild" and 3x16, "Fools." There's a particularly nice shot at the end of this episode, when Engine 51 and Squad 51 are parked parallel to each other, and when Johnny responds to dispatch that Squad 51 is available, Truck 127 drives away between 51's vehicles. Nice touch.

Show generally

Question: In quite a few episodes of Emergency there is a character that the doctors and other nurses call Nurse Carol. She is the older nurse with dark hair. I would say she is on at least a fourth of all episodes in all seasons yet I can not see this actress getting credited or listed as uncredited anywhere. I wonder if she was an actual nurse. Does any one know who she was. Yes there also were a couple of other actresses who played a nurse named Carol on one or two episodes and they are listed in the episode guides. She also is the patient with her arm in the cast talking to Dr. Morton in the episode 6:18 Firehouse Quintet.

Answer: On IMDB, actress Anne Schedeen is listed as playing Nurse Carol on six episodes from 1974-76.
