Audio problem: As Scott McCarty is shot there is no sound of a shot being fired, suggesting a silencer, however as the assailant's rifle is pulled inside the car you can see that the weapon has no silencer.
Revealing mistake: We see the jet at the end, and the shot is flipped. Note the serial number on the plane's engine. (00:38:05)
Continuity mistake: When Reid is asked if he plays ball, the way he holds the football changes between shots. In one shot he holds it in 2 hands and in another he holds it in one hand. (00:14:30)
Visible crew/equipment: When the camera zooms in on Adam's body near the start, there is a very brief shot of a crew member's hand in the top left hand corner of the screen. (00:02:35)
Revealing mistake: Just as Vincent gets tazered, you can see protective padding that he is wearing. This is not to be confused with his jacket. (00:25:10)
Continuity mistake: When Morgan finds the Glock 19, his grip on the clip changes between angles. (00:14:30)
Won't Get Fooled Again - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: When talking to Bale in jail and negotiating a transfer deal, his handcuffs disappear and reappear between shots. (00:35:05)
Won't Get Fooled Again - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: When in the house and the victim's wife comes in, Hotch returns his ID to his pocket twice. (00:08:00)
Compulsion - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Gideon profiles the campus patroler, the necklace's position changes on his shirt between the close and long shot. (00:17:40)
Continuity mistake: When Wallace brings the snake home he takes it out of the tank and holds it. Between the constant shot changes the snake's position changes entirely.
Continuity mistake: At the start we see Spencer explaining to Gideon about the Boston Strangler, his orange shirt is untucked at the front with both sides of his shirt being visible. Camera shows Gideon walking off and now only 1 side of his shirt is untucked. (00:05:10)
Continuity mistake: When the team visit the home of Marcie Mitchell, the older boy takes the baby to another room. The baby is crying, then as they are in shot walking through the door the baby is looking around and smiling, and as the door shuts we hear crying again. (00:11:20)
Character mistake: When Emily Prentiss makes note of the 110 V outlet having no GFI, she calls it 'Ground Fault Insulation', when in actual fact, GFI stands for 'Ground Fault Interrupter'. (00:11:00 - 00:12:00)
Other mistake: When Morgan calls Garcia to have her search for Vincent, Prentiss jumps in saying he is a mentor. However Morgan had just learned this and didn't mention it on the call.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode, the team and their SUVs are spike stripped and then hit by a semi. When the team is shown in the SUVs and when the SUVs are shown hitting the sticks, the SUVs are eleventh generation Suburbans, but when the semi is shown hitting them, they're ninth generation, at least nine years older.
Other mistake: The age of the deceased Raymond Leu (35) shown in a death certificate doesn't match up based on year of birth (1948) and year of death (2014).
Other mistake: In the opening scene, the UnSub is wearing breathing apparatus, however his smoke hood is under his face mask. Wearing the hood under the mask would make it impossible to get a face seal, and as such would let smoke into the mask.
Character mistake: Unsub calls his victim Marcy, her real name, as opposed to Rose who he believes she is.
Chosen answer: Back in Target Rich, a hitman named Giuseppe Montolo dies whilst being interrogated by Derek. The men who abducted Derek were hired by his father, Chazz, who seems to blame Derek for his son's death. It's explained further in A Beautiful Disaster.
