Corrected entry: Steve is having dinner in bed. He asks Marcy for the salt. She brings it to him, and he puts a tiny pinch on his potatoes. Takes a small bite then puts his napkin over the food. He didn't even eat any of it! Just took a few bites of potatoes.
Revealing mistake: When the mall Santa lands in the Bundys' back yard, everybody looks toward the back, and when Al looks forward, he cracks a smile although he's upset about the matter. Ed O'Neil admitted he couldn't contain his laughter.
Peg: Hi honey. Did you miss me?
Al: With every bullet so far.
Trivia: When Al asks Marcy why the show "No Pot to Pease In" was cancelled, she responds that a woman in Michigan didn't like it. In Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, a woman named Terry Rakolta started a boycott after watching the episode "Her Cups Runneth Over." The intent was to get Married...With Children taken off the air. Her boycott had the reverse effect as many people started tuning into the show to see why she was boycotting it. Because of this, ratings actually soared and got more viewers.
Question: Would Marcy even be allowed to marry Jefferson considering that she and Steve never actually got divorced?
Answer: It's implied that Steve filed for divorce since in s04e16, "You Gotta Know When to Hold 'Em", Marcy says that Steve is suing for alimony. Alimony is something that has to be requested when filing for divorce. Although the show doesn't spend time on the actual legal proceedings of their divorce.

Correction: Steve deliberately did this to punish Marcy for damaging his car. As seen at the end of the episode, Al had been giving Steve ways to not only fake his impotence but, also ideas on how to torture Marcy. This was most likely one of Al's ideas.
I know he wanted the salt just for a pinch to make Marcy mad. My entry isn't addressing this. Steve had a whole plate of food and didn't eat any of it. Just a bite of potatoes.
