Continuity mistake: When Babette walks through the kitchen's back door to comfort Rory, the porch is visible with its lattice wall and doorknob is to the right, but when Lorelai walks out with Babette in the exterior shot the wall has changed and the doorknob is to the left. Continuity mistake: At the start, during dinner things on the sideboard move between wideshots and closeups of Rory. Fun to note: when Emily gets up and follows Richard to his seat, as Emily shouts to Siri that Mr. Gilmore is hungry, the camera pans a bit to the left and a water bottle (it's gone in Rory's closeups) has been placed on the sideboard, beside the sterling bud vase, which would cause Emily to have a fit. Obviously one of the actors or the crew left it there.
Continuity mistake: At Luke's, when Rachel shows Lorelai the photo of the Dragonfly Inn, Rachel says, "It's an old abandoned inn I ran across when I was exploring the other day." So Rachel took the photograph in the last few days, and in the photo the Dragonfly does not have shutters, and does not have a sign hanging over the porch, etc. When Lorelai visits the Dragonfly with Rachel and then with Rory, the shutters and sign have appeared, as well as other changes. Other mistake: Rory asks Emily for baby pictures of Lorelai, but Emily says Lorelai burned them all because she had such a big head when she was little. But in "Love and War and Snow" earlier in the season, Emily, Richard and Rory looked at a baby picture of Lorelai in a bunch of petticoats the night Rory stayed over with her grandparents during a snowstorm.
Other mistake: While Luke and Lorelai are talking about Rachel in the storage room, after Lorelai places some jars on the shelf, the jars on the shelf behind Lorelai turn, change position or vanish, between shots.
Continuity mistake: Lorelai and Luke are talking in the storage room. The turkey gravy behind Luke keeps rearranging itself.
Visible crew/equipment: When Paris drops her book on the floor in English class, to jolt Rory out of her daydream stupor, a boom mic is visible above Liza Weil's head. (00:16:45)

Continuity mistake: At the diner, when Lorelai stands at the counter telling Luke about Max's proposal, in the shots facing Lorelai we see the red ketchup bottle on the table behind her is either standing upright or lying on its side, changing a few times. (00:07:05)

Other mistake: When Lorelai asks her mother which veil she should choose for her upcoming wedding to Max, Emily responds that her head is too big for a veil, and she could consider a tiara. When Lorelai responds quizzically with 'umm a tiara?' Emily says 'that's what I wore'. However, in s1e8, the photo album Rory looks through with her Grandparents features a picture of Emily and Richard that Emily calls their 'wedding photo' (in which she is pictured wearing a veil, not a tiara). Continuity mistake: When Lorelai, Max, and Rory are in the diner, just as Luke tells them that he's almost out of the blueberry pancakes and he can't make more, the regular menu which is set upright on the table suddenly becomes the "lunch" menu, and then it's back to the regular menu. This occurs well before Luke even brings Max the lunch menu because Max is taking too long to decide. (00:13:35)

Continuity mistake: When Lorelai, Rory and Max are having breakfast at Luke's, their coffee cups change from red to blue in one shot. Also Max's coffee cup goes back and forth from the left side of his paper to the right. (00:14:50)
Chosen answer: Lorelai and Christopher get married impulsively in Paris but they get divorced shortly after returning home. I don't know the exact number of days or weeks but they definitely weren't married for more than a couple of months.
