The Football Is My Best Friend - S1-E4

Other mistake: When Roberto tells everyone that they should try to treat the ball like their friend (except when they kick it, arguably) one of the kids who react with puzzlement at this unusual statement is Tsubasa, but he is the one character who already does that ordinarily as established in previous episodes. Other mistake: In the opening shot of the dinner scene, Tsubasa's soccer ball is on the chair next to him and as logic dictates it is below table level. Later though it is much higher. Conversely, Roberto's head in other shots is so low that looks like he's sitting on the floor. (00:04:45)

The Football Is My Best Friend - S1-E4

Character mistake: Everyone is making a sincere effort to avoid touching the ball with their hands for the whole episode, even to the point of getting in late at school, but when the kids are waiting in line behind Ryo peeping into the classroom, a few of them have their hands on the ball. The Football Is My Best Friend - S1-E4

Other mistake: Look at the bleachers when Ryo tells to the team that they need to examine Shuutetsu's playing; there are 11 players wearing the jersey, plus Tsubasa who is off to watch it running by the railing. Too many for the size of their team. (00:07:25)

The Football Is My Best Friend - S1-E4

Other mistake: Shuutetsu's sweeper Shingo Takasugi is the victim of an obvious coloring error during his introduction, and as he kicks the ball from the defense he is shown wearing the purple and blue uniform of the goalkeeper instead of the teal and red of the team jersey. Some international dubs even try to cover the mistake making up a line about him being a substitute keeper in absence of Genzo (but his jersey changes intermittently). (00:08:55)

Continuity mistake: When all the other players interrupt Tsubasa's training to beg to have extra training as well, Roberto's position on the field changes and so does the number of balls by him (then there's a last shot when he's next to the goal, but every player is in position so a cut in time can be assumed). The Football Is My Best Friend - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: While Taro is getting to Shizuoka, we see the Nankatsu public schoolers meeting again. Ryo greets Tsubasa and next to him there's a team member with shorts. When everyone follows Tsubasa, next to Ryo the guy is wearing long pants. (00:14:05)

Where Is the Rival? - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: The Shuutetsu players are in front of the gates of the Wakabayashi to get to the match with him. In the wide shot the leftmost ones are in a sunlit area (the rays come through the bars of the gate), but in the closer view they are in the shade. (00:02:05)

Where Is the Rival? - S1-E5

Other mistake: Eleven Nankatsu players run past the 4 Shuutetsu guys who are looking for Genzo. They all wear the team jersey, the keeper is missing. They have just players total, 10 plus the keeper, the extra player was never supposed to be there. (00:04:05)

Where Is the Rival? - S1-E5

Other mistake: After the scene with Roberto and Tsubasa's mom, look behind the lanes of the 200 meters (above the fifth); one of the athletes in the background is sitting in midair. (00:07:20)

An Unfair Enemy - S1-E15

Trivia: Probably as a joke from an animator, there's a pig in attendance in the stadium. It appears in one shot, by Roberto Hongo when Tsubasa's mom calls for a hat-trick. (00:18:30)
