Ghosts of Christmas Future - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: Jason and his team have AKS-74U's in hand as they hit the target vehicles. Once their target escapes they start giving chase and their weapons disappear from their hands and as they're running no holster are visible with sidearms. Then once they reach the inside of a building they all have pistols in hand. Even if the sidearms were "hollywood tucked" into their pants they would've fallen out during their chase of the target. Question: This season has added the odd effect of a large puff of red smoke/dust whenever someone is shot. It is unrealistic and distracting. Wondering if anyone knows the reason for this change.

Answer: Depending on caliber the body does spray blood from .308 and up.

Answer: Only because it looks cool on screen.
