Mistakes

During the scene where Memphis (Nic Cage) is driving the lovely Shelby GT500 Mustang, and he knocks off the mirror, the car stalls as if it's reacting to the damage. He then leans down and tries to start the car by simply turning the ignition like he has a key, but when he first gets in the car and starts it, he uses 2 thin pieces of metal and he had to use both hands. Trivia

13 Mustangs from 1967-1968 were modified to be "Eleanor" in the movie. One was a True Shelby GT500, but this was used by Bruckheimer as a reference piece and used by him personally. The rest were run of the mill Mustangs modified with bodykits and other goodies. One was chopped up to film certain sequences (in car shots, etc.), 2 were destroyed, and the other Mustangs were modified to perform certain tasks (Chases, Jumps, etc.). See more...

When Memphis is driving Eleanor he backs up and hits the right rear-view mirror. He stops, leans out the window and sees that it is dangling. The very next shot it is back to normal and it stays that way for most of the rest of the movie.
