In the first race scene when the skyline jumps the supra the supra is doing around 120 mph and when the Skyline jumps it the speedometer shows approximately 160 kph or about 96 mph so it would of been unable to make the jumps over it. See more...

In the very first racing scene, when they all go around the first turn and it shows them all struggling to hold their steering wheels through the turn, it shows an overview of the 4 cars. As you can see the pink Honda S2000, is in front, and to the left of the red Mazda RX-7. In the very next shot, the Honda S2000 is directly behind the RX-7.
