This is the second episode of the 1963 television show The Outer Limits, known as The Hundred Days of the Dragon. Trivia: The parade scenes were filmed on the Universal Studios backlot in "Courthouse Square." The film's special effects artists then digitally composited in some elements of a street in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, where the film is set. The sequence took three weeks to shoot and involved hundreds of extras.

Trivia: The diner Howard goes into after pushing his car is Mickey's Diner in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. The same diner was used in The Mighty Ducks, also shot in Minnesota. In this film however, the interior is a set. The interior of the real Mickey's Diner is not as spacious as shown in the film.

Trivia: The beginning sequence with the gunfire was shot on the Universal Studios back lot. This same set was better seen in the television show Desperate Housewives. In that show it's known as Wisteria Lane. It is actually Colonial Street and has been used by Universal for over 60 years.
