Brandon York

Question: If Parker was possessing Josh throughout the whole movie, why didn't he just kill Josh's family right off the bat instead of waiting until close towards the end of the movie?

Brandon York

Answer: He answered that while chasing Renai, it was because at first he didn't really want to but his mom kept planting seeds in his head and telling him that if he doesn't he's going to die and towards the end you can tell he was very close to dying so he gave in and try to kill the family. Also throughout the whole movie it talked about the fact that his mother basically forced him to kill people.

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Question: While at the high school, after the witches arrive, Max says "This is your host, Boris Karloff Jr." Is that a real person or a name made up for the movie? With the witches thought to be burned alive, why did Binx snap at Allison and Max for opening the book. With the witches gone, he wouldn't have anything to worry about, right?

Brandon York

Answer: Boris Karloff was a real actor who is mostly famous for playing Frankenstein and The Mummy in the 1930's. He had many other roles in classic horror films of that era.The young host is naming himself after the actor. Binx may have been concerned that the witches were not truly gone, and therefore wanted to exert some caution. His concern was warranted.

raywest

The answer is true, but the question asked about Boris Karloff Jr, who didn't exist. Boris Karloff had only one child, a daughter named Sarah. As for Binx, he was angry about them opening the book and even states that nothing good could ever come from it. He was not only cautious about the sisters (and any concern he had there was valid), but he also knew that everything in the book was evil and didn't want to risk other issues it causes whether the sisters were involved or not.

The Green Mile (1999)

Question: What was with the scene where John picks up and smells the grass after he's snuck out to help Melinda? And what did John mean when he said 'no matter how it happened, Del was the lucky one.' Did John somehow take all that pain so Del wouldn't? I never really got it.

Brandon York

Answer: He smelled the grass because he had missed it being locked up. As for the other thing, John was tired, he constantly felt the pain of others around him, he wanted it to stop. Del died, to John that's the way out, to get rid of the pain. Even though Del felt a lot of pain, for John it doesn't matter, as long as he gets out, so the pain stops. He didn't take Del's pain.

lionhead

Watch John closely during Del's execution. His body reacts the same as Del's throughout. He said Del's the lucky one because he wouldn't know earthly pain any longer, something that John is longing for by the time of his own execution.

MovieFan612

He didn't take his pain.

lionhead

I believe that John himself had lived a long time because of his powers, maybe he couldn't die from old age, but could be killed like other people, he was tired of being alive, so the execution was his way out.

Answer: He smells the grass, because it's pure.

Robocop 2 (1990)

Question: When RoboCop is being stripped, what is that thing Hob squirts him with before the scene cuts? And how many crazy directives does OCP give RoboCop after he's reprogrammed?

Brandon York

Answer: To answer the first question, it's some sort of tubing and fluid from inside of Robocop... so something like oil or something along those lines. Something that Robocop's robotic body uses to function. As for the second question, I do not believe it's ever mentioned specifically, but online searches say it's over 300 new directives. (Though we never see all of them).

Rocky II (1979)

Answer: The exact date of the rematch between Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed is never mentioned, however it is known to have taken place in November of 1976. Rocky, Jr. was born on November 5, 1976. It is not clear how long Adrian was in a coma after Rocky, Jr.'s birth but it can be assumed to be at the very least several hours. It could be as long as a few days. It's long enough that several people tell Rocky he should go home and get rest but he refuses. So at the most, Rocky only has about 3 weeks to seriously train for the fight assuming the fight is held at the very end of November. If the fight is closer to the beginning of November, it could be as little as a few days.

BaconIsMyBFF

The fight was on Thanksgiving. Apollo says it in the press conference.
