Continuity mistake: Harold takes a bottle of chloroform away from his young nephew and puts it in his pocket. The label says "Chloroform, 2% alcohol." Twice at dinner, Harold looks at the bottle and a close-up is shown. In the second close-up the "2% alcohol" is missing from the label.

Continuity mistake: Harold Hall and Mary Sears are sitting in a car on the movie studio lot. A stagehand raps on the car door and tells Mary they're ready to start filming. In a close-up, she opens the door and steps out of the car. The following long shot shows her opening the door and stepping out of the car again.

Continuity mistake: Vance, smoking a cigarette, warns Harold to stay away from Vance's girlfriend and drops his cigarette in Harold's coat pocket. A close-up shows a lot of smoke coming from the pocket, but there is a noticeable jump between the two scenes and Harold is in a slightly different position.

Continuity mistake: Harold Lloyd, driving a horse-drawn trolley, is trying to draw the attention of a police officer walking on the sidewalk. The officer walks past the Gilt Edge Creamery and the steps of an apartment building. After a close-up of Harold, the officer again walks past the creamery and the apartment building.

Continuity mistake: Upon learning that a friend is about to be married to a wealthy man who is still married to his first wife, Harold races to the man's mansion to halt the wedding. Driving a wagon pulled by two horses, he passes the Western Costume Company which was then at 7th and Figueroa in Los Angeles. After passing through a series of tunnels on the road that is now part of the Harbor Freeway, Harold again goes past the Western Costume Company.

Continuity mistake: As Harold scales a six-story building, the background is of a busy Los Angeles street with a department store and other businesses. When Harold reaches the fifth floor, the background is a completely different street.

Continuity mistake: With a piece of white chalk, Harold Lloyd writes "kick me" in reverse on one of the columns of a department store. Harold later leans against the column and the words appear on the back of his coat. A young boy kicks Harold and as Harold turns to walk away, the words have disappeared.

Continuity mistake: Knowing a security guard is about to eject him from an office building, Harold Lloyd grabs a secretary's pillow and flings it into the hallway. The pillow lands at an angle to the doorway, but when Lloyd is shoved out and lands on the pillow, the pillow is parallel to it.

Continuity mistake: Lucas, Micah and Joe are riding to the home of Old Tony and the sleeves of Lucas' long-sleeved shirt are rolled up. In a long shot, as Tony watches the men approach, Lucas' sleeves are down. In the following close-up, the sleeves are rolled up.

Continuity mistake: In a scene set in 1862, Harold Lloyd portrays his own grandfather, a Confederate soldier. An elderly woman gives him a tiki-like lucky charm which she says will protect him as he confronts leaders of the Union Army. After he successfully fights off two soldiers he holds the charm in his left hand, but the close-up shows the charm in his right hand, then it's back in his left hand in the next shot.

Continuity mistake: Charles is delayed getting home on his wedding anniversary because a wheel on his wagon broke, he had no jack and he had to make repairs during a heavy rainstorm. Rain is still falling late at night and can be seen through the window when Caroline hears Charles arriving. She runs outside to greet him and suddenly there is no rain.

Continuity mistake: To prevent two welfare workers from taking the child of her unemployed roommate, Betty Lou Spence claims the baby is her own. A newspaper article, shown in close-up, says she fought "all who sought possession of the tiny child." The word "possession" is hyphenated. One line of the article ends with "pos-" and the next line begins with "session." When the newspaper is shown again, the hyphenation is different. One line now ends with "posses-" and the next line begins with "sion."

Continuity mistake: Leonardo is dangling from the railing of his yacht as the yacht travels at a high speed. In the next scene, looking out from a room with a large window, Leonardo can be seen still clinging to the railing but the yacht now appears to be motionless.

Continuity mistake: Matlock is inside a jail cell, speaking to a man who has been accused of murder. In an outdoor scene, someone throws a raw egg at the window as Matlock looks out. Inside the cell, as Matlock turns away from the window, the splattered egg has vanished.
