Trivia: Early in the film, Richard Gere has a mustache and goatee as he wanted to go with a different look than his usual popular image. However the studio was unhappy with this, and forced Gere and the director to shoot an additional scene after accepting the job, where he asks for a decent razor. Trivia: Richard Gere was first considered for the role of the Jackal until it was given to Willis, since Gere turned it down and wanted to play the hero. And this is not the first time that Willis got a role that Gere was considered for. Gere was also offered the role of John McClane in Die Hard but he turned it down.

Trivia: Frederick Forsyth, the man who wrote the novel "The Day of the Jackal" Insisted that his name be removed from the credits of this film. Which is why the movie is billed to be based of the Day of the Jackal screenplay by Kenneth Ross, and not the novel. (00:03:10)

Trivia: Gerard Butler and his crew are loosely based on former ATF agent, Jay Dobyns, who consulted on the film. Dobyns is best known for his undercover work and his willingness to infiltrate crime organizations, much like Gerard Butler. Dobyns makes a cameo in the film at the bar Donnie works at in LA, closing his tab at the bar.

Trivia: There is a mid credit scene where the crawl is interrupted by a sudden broadcast, showing the original Teen Titans in the classic show's art style addressing the audience and saying they "Think we found a way back." Trivia: The Titans first encounter Slade while he's stealing a power crystal. They mistake him at first for the Marvel character, Deadpool and proceed to argue back and forth about him being Deadpool or not. With him saying that he's not Deadpool, that actually Deadpool should be saying he's not Slade. This is a joke and reference to the fact that the designer of Deadpool based his looks, abilities, and character originally off Slade/Deathstroke because he wanted to draw Deathstroke. Until Deadpool's backstory and personality were changed to what we know him as today.

Trivia: When picking up a collectible Doomguy Doll hidden item, the tune that plays is the E1M1 theme from the first classic Doom.

Trivia: The protagonist of the Doom series has many nicknames. Including; Doom Marine, Doom Slayer, Hell Walker, Unchained Predator, Scourge of Hell, Doomguy, and DM1-5. His real name is stated to be B.J. Blazkowicz III, and is possibly a decedent of B.J Blazokowicz from Wolfenstein, a game series made by the same company.

Trivia: When finding the collectibles in game, Doomguy inspects each one briefly before pocketing it. Each bears a resemblance to Doomguy in his armor in one form or another in various color schemes. When you find the collectible titled Doomguy as his own counterpart, you Doomguy will actually fist bump the doll in a unique animation that only plays for this one collectible.

Trivia: Doomguy's suit is dubbed the Praetor Suit by the UAC in this game. This name comes from the Latin word Praetoriani, which translates to "Praetorian Guard" who were the elite Roman soldiers guarding the Emperor. Furthermore, the term Praetor was also the name given to the two ancient Roman magistrates that ranked just below consul.
