Continuity mistake: Tintin, Haddock and Snowy are walking down the street and Haddock says he's going to be rich and tosses his hat in the air. There is a lamppost right next to Tintin. A man then opens his window, telling Haddock to keep the noise down and Tintin is suddenly standing about a foot away from the post. (00:26:20)

Continuity mistake: When the pirates are partying, one of them throws a wine bottle towards the tied up Francis Haddock. One of his hands is shown tied and wrapped in ropes. The shot then switches to a close-up of his hand, which is now wrapped around the ropes tying his body to the mast, and not the other ropes shown a second ago. (00:17:10)

From the wide angle, the skyline on the painting shows a clear blue daytime skyline. The shot cuts to a closer angle of Tintin, and the painting suddenly shows a dark blue near night time skyline. Continuity mistake: When Tintin meets up with Thomson and Thompson at the market, the detectives have tanned skin. The shot cuts to Tintin asking the two of them "A little Sunday shopping?" and then cuts back to a shot of all three of them. In the shot where it shows all three of them, Thomson and Thompson's skin is suddenly much paler, while Tintin is darker. (00:02:25)

Continuity mistake: Mr. Silk is showing Thomson and Thompson to the door whilst Tintin exits with the scrolls and Max Bird's diary. When Tintin exits Silk's room whilst saying "Mr. Silk who made the mistake, gentleman", Tintin is holding the scrolls and the wallet and nothing is sticking out of the wallet. Tintin then exits the room handing the wallet to the detectives, and there are suddenly papers sticking out of it. (00:42:45)

Continuity mistake: After Tintin has leapt over from the driver's seat of his speedboat to the driver's seat of Allan's, he begins a fight with him, then they dodge a bridge by ducking. From a wide angle that shows them exiting the bridge, we can see there is nothing on the back of the speedboat. A few seconds later, Allan then punches Tintin and he falls back onto the back, only now some ropes have suddenly appeared. (00:42:30)

Continuity mistake: The pilot of the seaplane Tintin and Haddock capture has white skin. A few scenes later on, when Tintin and Haddock are riding through the storm, Haddock and Snowy fall backwards and the pilot suddenly has brown skin. This continues throughout the scene until after Tintin is knocked out with the wine bottle and the pilot makes for the airlock where he suddenly has white skin again. (00:25:55)

Continuity mistake: The pilot of the seaplane has a mustache, and goes back to the site of the boat to see if Tintin and Haddock really are dead. When Snowy appears behind him and the pilot says "Where did you come from?", the mustache has vanished completely. Then as Tintin pulls on the pilot's leg, the mustache reappears again. (00:20:35)

Continuity mistake: After Tintin runs into the storage room, he barricades the door with several crates and Allan and the three bad guys are shown trying to get in by pulling on the door handle. At the end of the shot, the door handle is pointing upwards, but in the shot of Allan and three bad guys, the other end of the door handle is completely straight. (00:14:30)

Continuity mistake: Tintin is locked in a room tied up to two pipes. There is rope around his torso and ankles which is connected to the pipes above and even his arms are tied up, connected to the pipes behind him. Allan then enters the room and the rope that was connecting his arms to the pipe is now nowhere in sight. It is partially visible for a few frames, but then vanishes for the rest of the shot. Then when the shot cuts to Tintin, there is suddenly rope wrapped all around the pipe behind him. (00:12:35)

Continuity mistake: When Allan and his two crew mates go to question Tintin, they enter a room with a teal door with a handle. When they are inside the room a few inches of hull are shown under the door. As the three go to leave the room after the questioning, the teal door is now grey with a knob, and almost a foot of extra hull is now shown beneath the door. (00:12:25 - 00:13:00)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin discovers the Crabe Extra tins in the ship's decks, he is knocked out and drops his torch that is left turned on. As the shot begins to pan out, the torch is suddenly switched off. Also, his torch is pointed to the left as he is knocked out, but shifted slightly to the right when the shot begins panning out. Continuity mistake: When Tintin is searching the decks, Snowy starts scratching his paws on a red door so Tintin would come over to it. As Tintin walks over to it, we see it has a door knob. In the next shot, it just has a regular handle. (00:10:00)

Continuity mistake: After Allan yells at the crew member for missing Tintin, Allan walks over to see what happened. When Allan looks at him, there are a few tins of seafood on his back and almost a dozen on the floor. As Tintin goes to get back up in the following shot, there are fewer tins on the floor. Continuity mistake: Just as the scene at the docks starts, Tintin stops by a rope and looks up to notice the Karaboudjan. In this shot, the ropes are located right beside him, only a foot away. Allan and one of the crew members then begin conversation and the angle changes, showing Tintin far in the background, but the ropes are nowhere to be seen. (00:08:00)
