Now You See Me 2 (2016)

Character mistake: When Dylan answers his phone asking "Where are you?" assuming it is the Horsemen, it is revealed to be Thaddeus telling him where he left him 18 months ago, referring to being framed at the end of the first movie. The first movie ended with Thaddeus being framed one day after Mardi Gras, which would have set the first movie in late February or early March. The events of this movie take place days before New Years Eve in December. The two events are closer to 21-22 months apart, not 18 months. (00:29:45)

Suggested correction: Thaddeus says "right where you left me, 18 months ago." Thaddeus could have been referring to how long he has been in prison following the transfer after a conviction, not the time since the cell scene in the first movie.

Now You See Me 2 (2016)

Character mistake: At the end of the first movie, when Dylan shows Alma the newspaper article about Lionel Shrike's death, there is an additional article talking about a younger Dylan with the headline "Sad Tale of His Orphaned Son" referring to Dylan, indicating that both of his parents have died. However, in this movie, when Tressler is revealed to be Walter's father, Dylan tells Tressler that Tressler Insurance denied his mother's insurance claim after Lionel Shrike's death. (01:15:50)

Now You See Me 2 (2016)

Character mistake: Dylan is showing Agent Cowan and the FBI director the pictures of the pigeons and Dylan and Cowan start arguing, while the FBI director continues to look at the evidence on the Four Horsemen. Whilst looking there is an article reading "FBI Investigation Stalls." On the first column of the article, it is mentioned that all four members of the Four Horsemen, J. Daniel Atlas, Henley Reeves, Merritt McKinney and Jack Wilder, all disappeared into thin air at the final magic show, and gave the audience fake dollar bills. By the time of the final magic show, Jack had faked his death and was presumed dead, so only three members of the Horsemen were present, not four. (00:08:55)
