Corrected entry: In the pursuit scene, the Blues Brothers are coming out from one tunnel, and they are about to crash into a police car. After they intercept it, the police cars are hitting it and there is no driver inside.

Correction: The car was parked there as a road block, then the driver got out in case the car gets rammed. Normal safety procedure.

Mad Max 2 (1981)

Corrected entry: In the scene when Max decides to turn around, there is an overhead shot of the U-turn, showing the front end of the semi. The Claw raider should be visible behind the rear window of the semi, but he isn't.

RJR99SS

Correction: The raider is shown fighting with the boy a few shots and seconds before the turn. During that overhead shot, we only see a portion of the turn, very quickly, and our vantage point doesn't allow enough view to determine the raider is or isn't still there, or whether he has used the few seconds off screen to move over, further out of our view. His absence is not certain.

Mad Max 2 (1981)

Corrected entry: Max shoots the driver of the red XA Coupe with his shotgun. They then show the car going out of control, and cut to a close-up of the XA's windshield. The passenger of the XA is seen fighting with the steering wheel trying to get the car under control. Then it cuts back to a larger exterior shot of the car, and it's obvious that there's not even a passenger in it.

RJR99SS

Correction: As you said, the driver is shot and the passenger slides over to control the car. As the various shots occur, the driver is slumping lower and the passenger is further into the driver's position so that it appears the driver is there and the passenger gone, but the passenger is now the driver and the driver is slumped out of sight.

Mad Max 2 (1981)

Corrected entry: When Max leaves the compound in the semi, he hits the wrecked pink 1959 DeSoto knocking it almost sideways. When they show the compound exploding, the DeSoto is now sitting back where it was before Max hit it.

RJR99SS

Correction: The car's wheels are turned toward the compound so that after the collision, it has rolled foward again, but not quite to the point it started.

Mad Max 2 (1981)

Corrected entry: Look closely at the car which is wrecked right in front of the gate as Max enters the compound, it's the landau that flipped upside down in the opening chase, minus the supercharger that was sticking out of its hood, but the hole for the charger is still there.

RJR99SS

Correction: It's not hard to believe the raiders recovered the wreck in the day or more since the crash and have used it in the interim in some fashion that ended with it lying near the fortress. Not really a mistake unless the car were shown fresh and undamaged as if this scene were filmed before the crash scene shown earlier.

johnrosa

No. When Max goes back to the site to recover the truck, the wrecked Landau is still there. The only explanation is that there were two identical vehicles and Humungus' gang have lost both; one to the refinery/fortress and one to Max.

Mad Max 2 (1981)

Corrected entry: When Wez and his gang drive Max's Interceptor off the road, they still have the two hostages tied to their truck's front. After the Interceptor blows up, when Wez climbs into the truck and leaves, there is suddenly only one hostage tied to the truck. (01:08:20)

Twotall

Correction: The farside hostage is still there, but is slumped and leaning forward so that he is blocked from view by the other hostage. We can see a gap of sky between the one hostage and the upright that holds the other hostage. But as the truck drives off to the left, the second hostage comes into view. He's not missing, just difficult to see until the last moment.

Mad Max 2 (1981)

Corrected entry: During the final chase scene, the tanker that Max is driving has its driver's door pulled off. As the camera pans to the side you can clearly see the crew member - most likely the stunt co-ordinator - crouched down by the passenger seat.

Correction: When the door is torn off, the camera pans to the left so that the semi leaves the shot at right. At no point during the shot is any portion of any person other than Max visible in the semi's cab, even when checking frame-by-frame.

Primal Fear (1996)

Corrected entry: Very often you can see the boom mike coming in from the top of the screen. Edited out of the video.

Correction: If it's visible in the theater but not in the video or DVD, then it's a projectionist mistake, not a movie mistake.

johnrosa

Corrected entry: In the first half of the film Savannah has very short hair. When she, Max and the children enter Bartertown she has a long pony tail hair until the end of the film.

Correction: When she first appears and rescues Max, she's seen meeting the boy and lifting him, and the ponytail is there (00:47:55). When she rings the gong and challanges Max, it's there (1:02:40, 1:03:10). When she's struggling to save a boy in quicksand, it's there (1:11:25). The only time it isn't seen is when she's facing the camera, wearing the feathery head-dress or not in a shot at all.

The Nagus - S1-E11

Corrected entry: At Jadzia's insistence, Benjamin goes to find Jake when he doesn't show up for dinner. To do this, he asks the computer for his location. As shown in "Dax" and "Captive Pursuit," Deep Space Nine's computers rely on commbadges to locate specific people, just like on the Enterprise. Jake doesn't wear a commbadge, nor does he appear to have anything similar, so how did the computer find him?

Correction: As the episode does not specifically indicate what method the computer used to determined Jake's location, there are rather simple explanations for it knowing where he was. First, he and Nog are carrying electronic equipment similar to PDAs, and these devices have been known to access the main computer, so if Jake's PDA is accessing the computer from Cargo Bay 14, the computer can imply Jake is there. Also, a cargo bay can require coded access so that Jake had to tell the computer he wanted to go in. Similar restrictions have also been shown in other episodes.

Corrected entry: I know that this is a kiddie's movie and this was done for cuteness, but there are several anachronistic items, like modern toothbrushes, baseballs and baseball gloves, and 20th century-style alarm clocks; Jim's barrel boat even features a steam engine. In the latter case, if steam engines are known already, why didn't anyone else - especially the pirates - install them into their own ships as well?

Correction: This is a fantasy adventure. As such, historical accuracy isn't a consideration anymore than talking animals can be considered a 'mistake' here.

Mad Max (1979)

Corrected entry: After Nightrider and his girl lose control of their car and skid around the crashed truck while flames shoot out the back of their car, you can see that for about 2 seconds that he and his girl have been replaced with crash-test dummies. (00:12:00)

Correction: The scene is very short and out of focus. We can make out two figures bobbing about in the car as it 'skips' sideways out of control (and we can assume actors would not be in a car being intentionally destroyed), so it is very likely dummies are aboard, but they simply can not be recognized as such visually in the scene as shown.

Mad Max (1979)

Corrected entry: When the bikers arrive in the town and line up in front of the building, one of them takes off his green helmet; then in the next shot, he has it back on.

Correction: Nope. The green helmet never comes off. A quick close-up shows Toecutter removing his black helmet, then the shot widens to show the green helmet guy still has his on, and Toecutter is in the middle of the pack ahead of us, helmetless.

Mad Max (1979)

Corrected entry: As Max runs the two bikes off the road, you can see the rods on the right side of the screen pulling them off the bridge.

Correction: The two bikes are driven off the bridge by the stuntmen riding them. There is no equipment of any kind in the shot and none was used. I suspect the submitter watched a fullscreen version and mistook the straight-leafed plants at the right as being some type of 'rods'.

Mad Max 2 (1981)

Corrected entry: While Max is watching the compond he opens a can and eats out of it,throwing it to the dog to finish off, while the dog is eating the label goes from upside down to right way up even though only one end of the can is open.

Correction: The can is open on top and held right side up as Max eats from it. He tosses it to the dog and all three shots involving the can that follow show the can is open on top, and right-side up while the dog eats and defends it. No error.

Mad Max 2 (1981)

Corrected entry: At the very moment of impact between the tanker and Humungous' car, the rest of the biker vehicles are visible, yet apparently stationary. Not only that, but they're also "parked" off the road and not very far behind. This conflicts with the short scene just prior to the impact, with the tanker barrelling down the slope towards Humungous. There aren't any vehicles behind the tanker in this scene. (01:28:29)

Correction: Actually, the same vehicles are there in that short scene, in the same place, but they are quickly (in just a few frames) blocked from view by the approaching tanker.

Powder (1995)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the sheriff brings Jeremy to his home, there is a shot where he opens a door and turns on a light. The switch is that very old kind with the shiny, spring-loaded "push-on" and black "trip-off" buttons. When he opens the door and it is dark, the switch is "on". Then, he pushes the "off" button to turn on the light. (01:11:25)

Correction: The switch is simply wired backwards- a very common thing in older homes.

Cloverfield (2008)

Corrected entry: This is a major plot hole. Whenever the camera gets dropped, scratched, etc. it does not show any signs of damage. In many scenes, such as when (SPOILER) Hud dies, the camera stays intact, even though it was just dropped some 30 feet.

Correction: It also survived a helicopter crash, but so did the three passengers. Just because it could be damaged, that doesn't mean it must be damaged. Many factors can be present that allow for the camera to remain working. Not impossible.

That '70s Show (1998)

Class Picture - S4-E20

Corrected entry: In the episode, it flashes back to 1968 so Eric would be about 8 or 9 because you know that in 1976 he turned 16, so he would be born in 1959. However it says in the closing credits 'Eric aged 7'. How can he be 7?

Correction: Born somewhere in 1960, he would turn 16 in 1976. Prior to his birthday in 1968, he'd be 7.
