Continuity mistake: When Dave begins to disconnect HAL's circuits, one angle shows him unlock the first, second, then third unit. Just as he's about to remove the key from the third lock, the angle changes and he's pulling the key from the second lock and then goes for the third again. Continuity mistake: When Kirk, Sulu and Olson are space jumping down to the platform, they are shown on camera as falling with Olson in last place. He is furthest from the platform. Yet on Chekov's screen, he is displayed (by the red color associated with his red uniform) as being the lowest and closest, in first place. (00:52:00 - 00:53:00)

Continuity mistake: When young Spock approaches the three bullies at school, the shot from behind Spock shows he is at least as tall if not slightly taller than the other three boys. But when the shot reverses to see Spock between two of the bullies, he is instantly much shorter than they are. This isn't a matter of camera angle, but rather the choice to have young Spock positioned lower to make the bullies more intimidating - a choice the earlier angle didn't take into consideration. Continuity mistake: As Kirk is being choked by a Romulan, he says "I've got your gun", then pulls the weapon and kills the Romulan. As the Romulan falls, Kirk grabs the edge of the platform and begins to pull himself up onto it. From well above, we see the Romulan's gun is lying on the platform pointing directly away from Kirk. But when the camera angle changes to show Kirk's face with the pistol between him and the camera, the gun now points to Kirk's left (our right). (01:46:40)

Continuity mistake: When the Bandit first drives the Trans Am out of the trailer, the front license plate is easily seen, and it has a Georgia state flag on it. When Bandit wipes out the row of mailboxes along the side of the highway, the license plate is upside-down.

Continuity mistake: When Captain Robau enters the bridge of the Kelvin he is wearing his Star Fleet insignia. When he sits in his chair it is missing. It re-appears through all of his subsequent scenes. (00:01:30)

Continuity mistake: When Bruce defeats the Ra's impostor, the overhead beams collapse down as Ra's rolls onto his left side, head turned further left toward the floor to shield his face. As this shot ends, the debris settles, and we can see Ra's does not change position. But a close-up shows that Ra's is now flat on his back, head turned to his right. (00:39:30)

Continuity mistake: After the big explosion, Bruce is shown holding Ducard at the edge of the cliff. Bruce's body is over the edge, only his arm remains on the ice to anchor them. But as he lifts Ducard to safety, Bruce's body is suddenly on the ice, only his right arm is over the edge. (00:40:30)

Continuity mistake: As Ducard is sliding down the ice toward the cliff, he's on his front, sliding feet first. Bruce is also on his stomach, but sliding head first. Then, just before Ducard goes over the edge, Bruce is instantly on his back, sliding sideways, right side toward Ducard, just in time to take Ducard's hand, saving him. (00:40:10)

Continuity mistake: As Ducard goes over the cliff's edge, Bruce is dragged over the edge in the distant shots, with only his left arm still on top of the cliff, holding the knife in the ice. But the close-ups (prior to the big explosion) show only his right arm and leg are over the edge with Ducard, while his body remains on top of the ice. (00:40:20)

Revealing mistake: As Ducard slides down the icy slope toward the cliff, a brief shot from Bruce's viewpoint shows Ducard from a top-down perspective, revealing that Liam Neeson has been replaced by a stuntman with far more hair and no sign of Liam's receding hairline. (00:40:05)
