Plot hole: If Chester's plan was to steal the machine the entire time why didn't he just have his people steal the machine while it was still floating in the air during the first film? There was plenty of time to capture it before the food started mutating so what was he waiting for if he needed it so bad?

Suggested correction: Because he wasn't there in the first film? He first made an appearance in this film, doesn't know how to work the machine without Flint, and how the hell would he even get it in the sky? He also didn't even know about it, or what happened to Chew and Swallow, again, until he made an appearance in this film. Not a mistake.

Plot hole: When Snake gets knocked out by the Duke he wakes up with twelve hours left but for some reason the guards watching Snake makes him sit where he wakes up until he's got only two hours left.

Dr. No (1962)

Revealing mistake: Every time a shot of the hallway outside of Bond and Honey's room in Dr. No's lair is shown there are several doors on the same side of the hallway that lead too nowhere. Notice when Bond enters the room looking for Honey near the end we don't see the reverse of the doors from the inside of his room.

Plot hole: It makes absolutely no sense that there would be over a dozen cops and soldiers in the lobby of the courthouse and leave only two cops to guard Lecter regardless that he was locked in the makeshift cell. Yes the plot needs a reason for him to easily escape but this still goes against every conceivable protocol for such a dangerous prisoner especially when there were dozens of armed personnel just in the scene alone when he was being transferred from the plane.

The Love Bug (1968)

Plot hole: When Jim is shown what he has to pay for the damages Herbie did to Mr. Wu's shop he says he has no money. First off if he had no money how in the world was he able to put down any money on the red sports car he had just purchased that night? Secondly, what happened to the prize money from all the races he was winning from the previous few months?

The Abyss (1989)

Revealing mistake: When the crane falls down in front of the rig and then over the cliff into the abyss it's as if the rig was already just a few yards away from the abyss but when the umbilical pulls the rig again (after Bud says to grab onto something) suddenly there's enough space for the rig to be dragged at least a few hundred yards as if the rig never moved from its touchdown position earlier in the film.

The Abyss (1989)

Stupidity: Yes it would have affected the rest of the film but it still begs the question why they didn't unhook the cable attached to the rig immediately after setting the rig down? All the disaster could have been avoided from that point on.

The Abyss (1989)

Revealing mistake: Every time the aliens appear anything electrical shuts down but somehow Lindsay's camera is able to take pictures of the small NTI before the electricity powers back on.

Character mistake: Anya says she stole the blueprints two years ago for the submarine car she was riding in with Bond, yet she seemed to be completely unaware she was in such a car when the car first went into the water.

Goldeneye (1995)

Plot hole: When Alec reveals himself to be Janus and that he was alive all that time Alec scolds Bond for re-setting the timer at three minutes instead of six. The problem is if Alec had realised Bond reset the timer on the explosive then he should have had plenty of time to leave the building after Bond escaped, so he shouldn't have been injured.

Suggested correction: At the time he DIDN'T know Bond had reset the timer...maybe Bond had agreed to do this off-screen at some point but it's never alluded to.

Moonraker (1979)

Revealing mistake: When Bond hits the button to throw the space station out of its gravity and sends everyone out of position look at the command console manned by the two Drax henchmen, the prop used for the console laughably moves back and forth during the commotion.

Moonraker (1979)

Continuity mistake: When Bond is looking at the airport through the telescope in Rio he sees the Drax cargo plane coming down the runway but just seconds before in the wide shot of the whole airport there is no plane on the runway or anywhere near it.

Plot hole: When Buford is talking to Bandit in the diner (unaware he's the Bandit) he says the Bandit nearly killed 20 law officers. How would Buford be aware of any of that, when the only other police Bandit and Buford were involved with before that was Sheriff Bradford and his deputy?

Goldeneye (1995)

Other mistake: It's quite convenient for the plot that Natalya knew about both Goldeneye satellites but never seemed to know where Mischa was operated from otherwise she and Bond could have gone to Cuba without having to spike Boris' location.

Revealing mistake: When all the students are let out of the school at the end of the film, Billy is shown different times approaching his friends from behind.

Plot hole: If a fake burial at sea and a picture in the newspaper was enough to convince Bond's enemies that he was dead, was it really necessary to have him shot at in the bed at the beginning? We learn later that the girl he was with was part of the fake death (and probably the gunmen too) so couldn't Bond's people have just started with the newspaper and burial at sea to begin with rather than risking his life in the process?

Revealing mistake: When young Flint is showing his class his Spray-On Shoes we see the shoes of the class with their untied laces but when the camera is moving towards Flint from behind the class none of the laces are dangling.

Plot hole: When Flint gets to his lab to shut down the machine he finds the mayor there inputting more food. The mayor says he's been ordering food for ten minutes, how is this possible when he was just there with Flint on the stage barely a minute or so before? Also, how did the mayor manage to get his large self back to Flint's lab so quickly?
