Corrected entry: Sam is shown as being as tall as Rosie. In Fellowship of the Ring Sam is a head shorter than her, which is especially obvious in the shot where Sam and Rosie are dancing.

Corrected entry: After the battle in the hospital hallway, almost all of the unconscious orderlies and guards have disappeared when the camera angle changes from the perspective of the elevator facing the T-1000 running down the hallway.
Correction: No, actually, they haven't. The guard who was thrown through the window was tossed through the window of a door on the cross hallway, which isn't visible from the elevator. The female guard was likewise thrown down that same hallway. That leaves the black guard and the one with the mustache, both of whom are still lying near the wall around Silberman's feet; in fact, after the Terminator has split the T-1000's head open with the shotgun, you can see the black guard stirring and trying to get up.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Dyson is trying to open the locker with the key in it, the silent alarm has already been activated, however there is a quick shot of a computer monitor that doesn't say "alert" on it. You can also see the screen right next to him the first time he tries to open the locker without "alert" written across the screen. When he goes to look at it and the monitor, all of a sudden it says "alert". (01:31:15)
Correction: The first shot of that monitor shows a screen that appears to be transitioning from one state to another - look at the graphics on it. It is possible that the silent alarm has just then been tripped and it is shifting from whatever process it was in to a locked-down state.

Corrected entry: Towards the beginning of the movie when Dr. Silberman introduces the team of shrinks to Sarah, she asks him how his knee is. He tells the team that she stabbed him in the knee a few weeks ago. Later in the movie, she says that her behavior has been good for six months, therefore deserving a transfer to minimum security wing, where she can see her son. How can that be if she stabbed the doctor only a few weeks before? (00:23:50)
Correction: No, Silberman had said that if she showed IMPROVEMENT after six months that she would deserve such a transfer. He also said that her attitude has been "much improved...lately", implying that her behavior before that has not been so good. And finally, he DOES deny her the transfer to minimum security that she wants, showing that she has NOT been the good girl she is trying to act the part of.

Correction: Look again. The spiderweb crack is there, near the top center of the windshield. The submitter may have mistaken it for glare from a light, but it isn't.

Corrected entry: In the scene where John is on his bike and is being chased by T-1000 in the semi, if you listen very closely, that bike has over 15 gears. (00:31:00)
Correction: What you have mistaken for gear-shifting sounds is often John throttling up or down as he weaves around the trash and debris littering his path, makes sharp turns, or flies up ramps. The gear changes you can hear are completely in character with the behavior of the bike at the time - speeding up and slowing down. The few times John is running flat-out with nothing ahead of him, there are no gear changes heard.

Corrected entry: When Nemo actually jams the fishtank filter gears and the others are trying to get him out, how did he get out so fast? We saw when he failed to jam it that the tube to get out in was tight and took a little while to get through. But it only takes him several seconds.

Corrected entry: Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli first approach Edoras, and Gandalf talks about the king's mind being overthrown. It then cuts to inside the Golden Hall, where Eowyn is telling her uncle about his dead son. She is wearing a gray dress, and her hair is pulled back on the sides. Then it cuts back to Gandalf and Co. riding up to the town, then back to Eowyn tending to her dead cousin. This should only be a few minutes later, as the group is still riding up to Edoras, but now Eowyn has on a white dress, and all her hair is down. She then goes outside in her white dress, and sees the group approaching.
Correction: The scene with Eowyn telling Theoden of Theodred's death is a flashback scene. It does not take place concurrently with Gandalf's telling the Three Riders that Theoden's mind is overthrown. The footage of Eowyn talking to the dazed and muttering King is simply to add emphasis to Gandalf's words.

Corrected entry: Numerology comes into fruition in this movie a lot. The number three comes a number of times. There are of course the three heroes, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli and the ring party consisting of Sam, Frodo and Gollum. When Sam and Frodo are rescued there are the three eagles which come to rescue them. At the end of the film it is stated that the time of the elves is over and thus their three rings are cast aside for the time of man. Also Sam's house is the number three.
Correction: Sorry, but this is crossing the line into "coincidence". All of these "items" are directly from the books, and Tolkien was every bit the dry, professorial type who would have had no truck with numerology.

Corrected entry: When Sully and Waternoose are talking, Waternoose pours himself a cup of coffee. Just after Waternoose takes a sip, Sully demonstrates his scaring ability on him and he drops his cup. The sound we hear is of an empty cup hitting the floor, but didn't Waternoose just fill it with coffee? There should have been a splash type noise to indicate the coffee has spilt on the floor.
Correction: Look more carefully at the "coffee" - it isn't liquid, but thick, heavy sludge. Thus, if a cup of that stuff was dropped on the floor, we wouldn't hear any splashing.

Corrected entry: Inconcievable that Andy would serve nearly 20 years in the same prison let alone the same cell. Surely routine maintenance and modernisation of his cell plus occasional shakedowns would have uncovered his nocturnal tunneling.
Correction: Maybe so, but this is direct from the book, so blame Stephen King, not the filmmakers. The reason, by the way, that Andy's cell was never inspected or shaken down, and why he never had a roommate, was because he was Shawshank's pet financial wizard. Because he was quiet, soft-spoken, and respectful, and did the dirty work the wardens and guards asked of him without complaint, he got to keep his "one-bunk Hilton" (as the story says).

Corrected entry: In the society of Libria, all form of emotion is supposed to be outlawed and with it all objects that can provoke it. Yet Preston's daughter is shown eating chocolate cereal. Chocolate stimulates the release of endorphines into the brain, generating a feeling similar to being in love. Shouldn't it hence be outlawed?
Correction: Several things. First, the submitter postulated that the cereal was chocolate simply because the cereal is brown. It could just as easily be brown because it's a healthy fiber-based cereal like Total. Secondly, even if it is chocolate-flavored, the endorphin release caused by chocolate only applies to REAL chocolate, not artificial chocolate flavoring such as that found in cereals. Thirdly, the endorphin release is greatly overstated here; chocolate can produce, at best, a feeling of very mild euphoria in 99% of the population. This would be easily counteracted by the drug Prozium. Fourth, we see near the end of the film that Preston's children have both been off the Prozium dose since their mother was arrested years ago. If the cereal IS chocolate-flavored, they may be eating it as a small act of rebellion.

Corrected entry: When Vincent goes to pick up Mia for their date, he enters the home. Mia, who's watching him on closed-circuit TV, tells him over the P.A. system that she's on the intercom. Vincent asks where is the intercom. Mia tells him it's on the wall. Now, there's no indication of how Mia can hear Vincent's question. So unless Mia can read lips, how could she know what he was saying and respond accordingly? (00:32:25)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Frodo is helped by Galadriel in Shelob's lair (in the "dream sequence") he lays on the ground. In his hair on HIS right side (viewers' left) is what appears to be some clovers or leaves or grass. The camera cuts to Galadriel then back to Frodo, the thing in his hair is gone. The camera cuts to her again and back to Frodo, the thing is back in his hair.
Correction: It does not actually disappear. It's a leaf of a greenish-yellow color, which is more visible when viewed from a particular angle. Frodo's head has tilted slightly in the second shot which is enough to present us with the edge of the leaf only, making it much less obvious - but it's still definitely there.

Corrected entry: In the scene where the pachyderm animals of Mordor are introduced in the battle, there's a shot that pans the front of the line of them. One animal has wood connecting its larger tusks, complete with barbs jutting out from the wood. As the orcs flee to regroup behind the animals, several run through the contraption unharmed.
Correction: No, they don't. Some do run underneath the wooden connector as the Mumak swings its tusks upwards, but most do not make it past and are sent crashing to the ground.

Corrected entry: When everyone is leaving to go to the battle at the black gate, Minas Tirith is shown as a battle-scarred city, with burned, gaping holes in the walls and towers from the damaging barrage of catapult-thrown boulders. The next time we're shown the city, after the battle, it's all fixed up.
Correction: That's because quite a bit of time has passed between the Battle of the Pelennor Fields and the coronation of Aragorn as King. The timeline in the books shows it as nearly two months, but the film appears to imply that even more time has passed, by this and other evidences (Arwen is fully recovered, Frodo is fully healed, and more).

Correction: This is an illusion. Sarah McLeod has played Rosie in all shots when she and Sam are seen together, and Sean Astin has always played Sam in the shots where he is with Rosie. Neither actor nor actress has changed their height that drastically, so any "obvious" differences in height are only illusory.
