Congo (1995)

Corrected entry: When Munro and Dr. Ross are sitting with the General, there's nobody in the lobby. In the next shot a group of people are standing there. (00:31:15)

Hamster

Correction: Most of the times the angles of the shot makes the soldiers in the lobby disappear, but they would be just out of frame (to the left, mostly). The camera simply does not catch the entire lobby. In addition, the men are moving around a little, so could easily have moved to stay out of frame.

Congo (1995)

Corrected entry: At the start of the film, one of Jeffreys eyes is ripped out. Later when his corpse is found by Dr. Ross and Elliot, he has both eyes in his corpse.

Hamster

Correction: We never get to see Jeffrey's entire face, as his head is turned to the side, and only the left side is visible. And even this is only seen in a wide shot, so it is impossible to make out his eye (or lack thereof).

Corrected entry: When Charles Travis is waiting for Jeffrey, in the first shot he's sitting on the steps of Zinj, then standing, and then he sits down again. (00:06:15)

Hamster

Correction: The scene is not shown in real time - Charles is there for quite some time waiting for Jeffrey, which is why he is getting so impatient and shouts that they have to link up with Houston in ten minutes.

Corrected entry: When Homolka looks outside the plane door [before jumping] he puts his right hand on the doorside. In the next shot it's his left hand. (00:38:50)

Hamster

Correction: He places both hands on the doorsides, one on each side.

Corrected entry: Karen asks Charles' if she can have his co-ordinates for a later link-up. However later we see her able to operate the camera herself remotely.

Hamster

Correction: When Karen said to Charles "send me your coordinates", it was under the impression that the expedition would be moving towards the source of the river and the diamond mine. Had everything gone normal, the expedition would move, and new coordinates would have to be given so they could link up again. Karen could later remotely use the camera because coordinates had not changed, and it was still in its previous location.

Corrected entry: Karen asks Charles' for his co-ordinates so they can link up again, but she must already know them in order to currently be linked with him.

Hamster

Correction: He called them. She needs his co-ordinates to be able to call him back.

Corrected entry: When everybody lands after parachuting out the plane, Munro says he has to sedate Amy. But in the next shot she is very much wide awake.

Hamster

Correction: He says that the pill will calm her down, jokingly refering to it as "Gorilla Prozac" in the plane. Then he says that she woke up on the way down, biting him. He even remarks that she has quite the sharp set of teeth. It merely knocked her out for the jump, and even that dose was shown to not be enough.

Corrected entry: Charles and Jeffrey have to swim through deep water to get to the city of Zinj. The group only walks through ankle deep water to get to it though.

Hamster

Correction: They swin "under" a rock formation to get to it in, at most, 10-15 feet of water. The second crew has Amy for their guide, and she leads them to the most direct route to the mines, which just happens to be a different path altogether.

Congo (1995)

Corrected entry: When they find the pit where the gorillas put dead bodies, only Jeffrey and Charles are in there, when seven others were also killed. (01:25:10)

Hamster

Correction: Perhaps it's because Charlie and Jeffrey were the only two killed at the mine, while the others were killed at camp. Since the other seven members were never shown again, this is not a continuity mistake, as the gorillas can do whatever they want with the bodies.
