Directed by Frank Marshall, starring Bruce Campbell, Ernie Hudson, Laura Linney, Tim Curry

Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click "make changes" when viewing mistakes, and click "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

Entry Karen asks Charles' for his co-ordinates so they can link up again, but she must already know them in order to currently be linked with him. [He called them. She needs his co-ordinates to be able to call him back.] Corrected by Jazetopher
Entry When everybody lands after parachuting out the plane, Munro says he has to sedate Amy. But in the next shot she is very much wide awake. [He says that the pill will calm her down, jokingly refering to it as "Gorilla Prozac" in the plane. Then he says that she woke up on the way down, biting him. He even remarks that she has quite the sharp set of teeth. It merely knocked her out for the jump, and even that dose was shown to not be enough.] Corrected by Jazetopher
Entry Charles and Jeffrey have to swim through deep water to get to the city of Zinj. The group only walks through ankle deep water to get to it though. [They swin "under" a rock formation to get to it in, at most, 10-15 feet of water. The second crew has Amy for their guide, and she leads them to the most direct route to the mines, which just happens to be a different path altogether.] Corrected by Jazetopher
Entry When they find the pit where the gorillas put dead bodies, only Jeffrey and Charles are in there, when seven others were also killed. [Perhaps it's because Charlie and Jeffrey were the only two killed at the mine, while the others were killed at camp. Since the other seven members were never shown again, this is not a continuity mistake, as the gorillas can do whatever they want with the bodies.] Corrected by Jazetopher
Entry Flares fired from the airplane should be immediately swept behind, but they are not. [Not necessarily. It would be a matter of the muzzle velocity of the flare vs. the speed of the slip stream. After all the DC is a fairly slow plane.]
Entry During Tim Curry's death sequence, if you freeze-frame the shot where a gray gorilla crushes his head, you can see that the gorilla's fists don't actually come in contact with Tim Curry's head-they land on either side. [If you have to slow the movie down to see this, it is not a movie mistake as per the rules of this website. Only mistakes that are visible in regular viewing are valid.] Corrected by Twotall
Entry In the scene where the convey comes across a member from the expedition, Monroe takes the dying guy's pulse. The mistake is that Monroe takes the pulse with his thumb. When taking a pulse in the wrist or neck, you can't do it with the thumb because the thumb has its own pulse. [A mistake by the character, not the movie.]
Entry On the plane ride where the heroes are attacked by missiles, they jump out of the plane and one of them takes the gorilla with him. There is no way that, at that speed, the gorilla could stay in the guy's arms after he pulls the rip cord to open the parachute. The gorilla would 'shoot' out of the guy's arms and fall to its death. [Amy "the gorilla" is in fact strapped to Munroe so it's unlikely she would fall to her death. You can even see Munroe raise his arms up as he's falling. Amy was sleeping so she wasn't holding on. ]
Entry When everyone is jumping out of the plane, Monroe tells Peter he'll take Amy. The pilots jump out along with some equipment, then some porters. Mr Homolka has to be pushed out and Karen jumps out after him. Peter then goes and so there's only Monroe, Kahega and Amy on the plane. Monroe and Amy jump, but we never see Kahega jump even though he manages to land before Karen Ross and Monroe. [The fact we see Kahega lands indicates he jumped from the plane (we just don't see it). As for landing before Monroe who jumped first, Monroe, with Amy, opened his chute right away. Kaheag on the other hand obviously chose to free-fall a little before opening his chute and thus passed Monroe on the way down.]
Entry The walls of Zinj are all covered with Egyptian hyroglyphics. But Zinj was built by the Jewish King Solomon. There is no reason for hyroglyphics to be there; it should be ancient Hebrew writing. [It is never said that the hieroglyphics are Egyptian. Hieroglyphics are a system of writing using pictures which was used by several ancient cultures. If they had been Egyptian, the scientists would have figured their meanings out much quicker than they did.]
Entry When everybody is in the cave there are rocks falling on them, but when the rocks go in the water, they float! [Pumice is often produced during eruptions, and floats very well].
