Corrected entry: In the first minute of the film, Daniel is seen walking into the King Cobra Dojo alone, and is wearing a red Blazer. The sensei then asks what the problem is with Johnny, and looks over at Daniel. In the next shot, Mr. Miyagi has appeared, and Daniel is wearing a flannelette shirt, and has new grazes on his head and a bandaid. (00:00:15 - 00:00:50)

Correction: What you're seeing is a flashback of two separate events from the first film. When he was wearing the red blazer, he was checking out the dojo just before joining his mom for dinner. When he was wearing the flannel shirt, it was the day after the Halloween dance, when he and Miyagi went there together to issue their challenge for the tournament.

Batman Begins (2005)

Corrected entry: When Batman is being chased by the police, an announcement is made on the police scanner "Subject moving west on I-17." Odd-numbered interstates run north-south in the US; even-numbered ones run east-west. (01:36:20)

Jeff Swanson

Correction: The numbering system you describe refers to the interstates predominant direction; however, many interstates curve and move different directions for long stretches. For example, I94 is an east-west highway (and is therefore given an even number), but part of it connects Chicago to Milwaukee. This stretch runs due north and south for about 75 miles. Sometimes police will describe the flow of traffic according to their actual direction instead of the name of the highway they're on. (This correction ignores the more obvious explanation: The Odd/Even system is not an absolute. In New Jersey, Route 3 runs east/west, as does southern New York's Rt.287 (which humorously connects directly to New Jersey's Rt.287 north/south- jwrosa).)

Pleasantville (1998)

Corrected entry: When the Black and White people turn coloured, their clothes change too. Whereas when Betty Parker turns coloured, it's only her head that changes and not her clothes.

Correction: Some people in Pleasantville changed gradually, like the girl whose tongue & lips turned color first before the rest of her did. Others changed suddenly. Not everyone is meant to change at the same pace, so this inconsistency is not a mistake.

Titanic (1997)

Corrected entry: How could they haul the safe from the wreck? The robot has to meander through several doorways and rooms to find it. Even if the robots could be manipulated to harness a net around the safe, the prospect of dragging it back through all those obstacles to finally lift it to the surface seems patently impossible. (00:08:50)

Correction: Not necessarily. The safe was heavy and could crash through anything, especially walls that have been under water for 84 years. And since they thought they found the diamond, they stopped being careful about breaking other wreckage. Indeed, they tore into the safe with a circular saw, even though the safe itself was a valuable artifact.

50 First Dates (2004)

Corrected entry: Wouldn't the wall where Lucy paints everyday get abnormally thick if two coats of paint are applied everyday for a year?

Correction: Yes, but if her father is willing to spend the time to paint it a solid color over her artwork every night, it's reasonable to assume he'd strip it once in a great while, too.

Correction: Character mistake, not a television show mistake.

Corrected entry: The reading from Thoreau invoked at the meetings is read out of order and misquoted.

Macalou

Correction: That may be true, but remember that Keating wrote that quote in the poetry book back when he was a student at Welton. He admitted to the kids near the beginning of the movie that back then he was an intellectual "weakling," so it's understandable that the quote is not entirely accurate.

Minority Report (2002)

Corrected entry: After the fight scene in the automobile plant where Anderton is built into a car on the assembly line, we see him sit up after the car is done being made. It's obvious that we are looking at the tail-end of the production process, because we see the car he is in being painted as it rolls along. When the car is finished, Anderton sits up in the driver's seat and drives the car out an exit that is apparently right in front of him. If this is the end of a giant assembly line, where do the rest of the cars go? Does someone drive all of them off of the line as well?

Correction: The cars drive themselves off the line and to the place where they are to be stored or loaded for shipping. Recall that moments earlier, Anderton's own car went into "automatic pilot" mode while he was fleeing, suggesting that cars can be piloted both manually and via computer.

Minority Report (2002)

Corrected entry: When Burgess is talking to John Anderton in his car on the flip up transparent panel on his desk, the word Nokia is the correct way round to the people in the cinema, therefore it would have been a mirror image to Burgess who was using it.

Correction: That would actually be a clever marketing strategy by Nokia. If the computer is used in a library, airport, cafe, or any public place, Nokia would want their logo to appear correctly to other people as a form of advertising.

Minority Report (2002)

Corrected entry: In the scene were the pre-crime unit make their first arrest of the film, there is a child on a merry-go-round. he gets off and it stops when Cruise is looking for the door. The merry-go-round is completely still. The shot changes to one from behind and the merry-go-round is moving at a furious pace.

Correction: If the exhaust port from the hovercraft is positioned at just the right point near/above the merry-go-round, the airflow will cause it to spin, similar to the way weather instruments measure wind speed and point of origin.

Minority Report (2002)

Corrected entry: Now, it's understandable that Agatha has no makeup while she's in the water, since she doesn't need it. But, why oh why, does she has a full face of makeup (well, at least eye shadow and lipstick) when we see a closeup of her, while she is having her mind read by Rufus Riley at Cyber Parlor. Where did she get it from? When did she have time to put it on? After being in hibernation for so long, would she have the strength? The inclination?

Correction: Anderton stopped to pick her up some clothes so that she would look inconspicuous while in public. He picked her up some makeup for the same reason, and she put it on while in the car.

Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004)

Corrected entry: When Moore is talking about United Defense, who make the Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle, there is a cut to some stock footage of an IFV in action. All well and good, except that the vehicle shown is a Warrior, used by the British Army and not manufactured by United Defense.

Correction: Moore never overtly states that the vehicle shown is precisely what he is talking about. The video clip is there simply to show a general illustration of the sort of vehicle he is referencing. Since United Defense makes a similar apparatus, the footage serves its purpose and is not a mistake.

Corrected entry: In the 3 Tantive IV (Senator Organa's ship) hallway scenes, small details in each scene show that they are all the same hallway (red symbol above door, arrangement of metal plates on both sides of door, location of black squares on side walls, location of side doors). The same exact small details can all be found in the hallways Darth Vader makes an entrance into in A New Hope, meaning this is supposed to be the same hallway (that's also been confirmed by official sources - they went to great length to recreate the ship exactly, based on photos of the original set). However, the hallway in ROTS is much narrower.

Correction: A good observation, but remember that the events of Episode IV take place after Luke has grown to be a young man. Since the halls in the 3 Tantive IV ship are still pure white in Episode IV, it's plausible that renovations could have been made to the ship during the years Luke was growing up.

Corrected entry: When Luke sees the ethereal Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan tells Luke to go see Yoda in the Dagobah system, to be trained by the Jedi who trained him. But we learn in Phantom Menace that Obi-Wan wasn't trained by Yoda, he was trained by Qui-Gon Jinn.

Correction: Obi-wan was trained directly by Yoda the entire time he was a youngling. It wasn't until he was old enough that he was allowed to be a Padawan of another Jedi. And even then, Yoda oversaw both he and Qui-gon.

Miracle (2004)

Corrected entry: As the USA team takes their places on the ice before one of the Olympic games (against Russia, I believe), Craig is shown in front of the goal with Rizzo and O'Callahan on either side of him. The next shot shows Rizzo in the foreground with Craig in the background putting on his goalie mask. The shot then cuts to O'Callahan in the foreground again with Craig in the background, and again showing Craig putting on his mask.

Correction: Good observation, but the camera cuts away long enough for Craig to lift up his mask again and either make a readjustment or wipe his face, explaining why he would be shown putting it on again.

Never Been Kissed (1999)

Corrected entry: After Drew Barrymore falls asleep on her hand after the party, she manages to print "Loser" on her head. Since the word "Loser" was the right way around on the stamp on her hand, it should be backwards on her head. It was obviously put the right way around by the director so that the following scene where everyone laughs at her would be more obvious.

Correction: The stamp had the name of the night club written twice, once forward (top) and once backward (bottom) for effect. Josie's head rested on the backward name, making "loser" appear normal.

Never Been Kissed (1999)

Corrected entry: After telling Josie that she has transitioned- one of the popular girls says "People spend all of their high school life trying to transition, but they never do." She would have to have been in high school for longer than everyone else (even people who have already left) in order for such a statement to be true.

Correction: She's not talking from personal experience. The popular girl probably got her information from magazines, older siblings, friends' older siblings, or even parents.

Miracle (2004)

Corrected entry: Listen right before the famous "...five seconds to go. Do you believe in miracles? YES." Al Michaels, the announcer, suddenly sounds like he inhales a helium balloon; his voice goes so high.

Correction: That's because they purposely made a transition to the Al Michaels from the actual 1980 broadcast. The filmmakers agreed that the actual footage of Michaels calling the last 10 seconds should be used.

Lucas (1986)

Corrected entry: When Lucas is marching with his band, he is playing a French horn. Yet, there is no way you could be playing a French horn in a marching band because you need to rest it on your knee while sitting down.

Correction: French horn players place one hand inside the horn to control the tone. With one hand supporting the horn, and the other hand grasping the other side, it is possible to march with it, as we see Lucas doing.

Corrected entry: Once the children and Maria have been in the boat turning incident, the children are dripping wet with water once they return to their father. He then tells the children to go inside and change, though when the children have returned their hair is nothing but damp from the water. It appears to have dried rapidly within the minute they went to get changed.

Correction: A couple minutes with a towel is all they would need to change their from dripping wet to merely damp.
