Saw IV

Factual error: Several mistakes about the clock in Jigsaw's workshop: around 300 years ago the first pendulum clocks were built. They were completely different by size and design than this one, so the claim that it is so old is completely wrong. Real pendulum clocks like the one seen in the movie never have a second hand from center. You can also see by the movement of the second hand that it is a modern, battery operated quartz movement. This also means that the ticking you hear is not created by the clock itself but was added later. (00:38:40)

Factual error: It would not be possible for the scalping device to scalp Brenda's hair in the manner that it does. Hair is too thin to withstand that much pressure when being pulled and would rip long before she began to bleed profusely. At worst, she would likely be bleeding a little bit in a non-fatal manner from having her hair yanked after it ripped.

Other mistake: In Saw II, Jigsaw shares a story with Detective Matthews about how he attempted suicide after his cancer diagnosis by driving his car off a cliff. We then see Jigsaw pulling a metal rod out of the left side of his stomach. However, no puncture wound/scarring is visible on Jigsaw's stomach when his autopsy is being performed. (00:00:50)

Trivia: When Officer Rigg is walking through the school, before he finds Morgan and Rex in the rod trap, he walks by a dark room blocked off with police-barrier-tape. Originally, there was a scene that revealed this was the room where Troy from "Saw III" died, but it was cut, presumably for pacing reasons.

Question: A tape recorded by John directed toward agent Perez states that her partner would soon take the life of an innocent man. How did John know that agent Strahm would kill Jeff? For all he knows, Strahm could have followed Rigg through the factory rather than Jeff. The "if you're good at anticipating the human mind, it leaves nothing to chance" excuse doesn't work here. The only reason Strahm followed Jeff was because he heard Jeff hit a ceiling light with a crowbar.

Answer: Realistically there is no way he could have known. The writers were just working backwards from the plot point on this one.
