Brokeback Mountain

Trivia: In the Middle East, a censored version of the movie was released that eliminated all of the homosexual content. The result apparently didn't make any sense at all as the scenes were important plot points.

Trivia: Actor Randy Quaid, who played Jack and Ennis' boss in the movie, filed a lawsuit against the studio, claiming that the studio had made him believe that it was a low budget movie rather than a big production as to secure his pro-acting talents for cheap fees. So far, both sides have differing opinions on whether Quaid's suit was settled or not.

Trivia: Political commentator John Gibson hated this movie so much he made jokes about it for years on his radio show. However, he stopped after widespread criticism over mocking Heath Ledger hours after the news broke over Ledger's death.

Continuity mistake: When Ennis brings Alma Jr. and Jennie to Alma at the Supermarket, Alma Jr. grabs a jar of peanuts off the end display. This causes a group of jars to come crashing down, breaking glass and causing peanuts and glass to fly all over. Alma squats down to the floor to help pick up the broken jars and peanuts, but when Alma bends back up and goes to bring the girls to the front of the store, all the jars that had crashed and broken on the end display shelf are now upright and whole before anyone had had the time to pick them all up. Answer: At first they were just wrestling and horsing around. However, underlying tensions and frustrations over their impossible situation, and Ennis' reluctance to commit to Jack, causes their anger (particularly Jack's) to overtake them, and it erupts into a full-blown fight.
