Question: Is it said, anywhere, if Anakin and Padmé decided on their "baby's" name (not knowing there were twins) before Anakin turned? Maybe they chose Luke for a boy, Leia for a girl? Padmé seems to say the names quickly during childbirth. However, after Vader discovers Luke in the future, it would be an interesting coincidence that he and Leia have those names, are the same age, and Leia looks like Padmé.
Question: Sidious/Palpatine killed three of the Jedi who came to confront him in his office, fought Mace Windu until Anakin arrived, and later, Yoda could not defeat him. Considering this, why is Luke such a big threat to him years later?
Answer: Probably because Luke is Vader's son. Palpatine knows it creates complications and a conflict of conscience and loyalty with Vader, who becomes torn between serving the Emperor and his underlying feelings for Luke. Despite Vader's assurance that Luke will join them or die, Palpatine remains wary.
Question: Why did Obi-Wan go to Padme's apartment (as she told Anakin later) to discuss being worried about Anakin? He either doesn't know about their marriage, or he pretends to not know because Anakin would be expelled from the Jedi Order. In order to keep up appearances, it should be strange for him to visit her home.
Answer: He is hoping she knows where he is. He hopes to convince her to tell him so he can confront him.
The question is not about Obi-wan talking to Padme before the fight on Mustafar. It's about the off-screen visit, when Anakin asked Padme if Obi-wan had been to the apartment. She said yes, Obi-wan came by that morning because he was worried about Anakin. Why would he stop at her apartment if he "isn't supposed to know" that she is Anakin's wife?

Question: Why did Count Dooku tell Anakin and Obi-Wan to hand over their swords/lightsabers? Did he actually think they would do it?
Answer: He tells them to draw out their lightsaber, to not delay, and just start the fight.
But he says, "We don't want to make a mess of things in front of the Chancellor," as if he is trying not to fight.
The "mess" I think he is referring to is the pointless debate they will go into if they don't simply start dueling. A few seconds later, he says, "I've been looking forward to this", so he always wanted to fight. You have to understand that Dooku knows Palpatine is his master, and he has been ordered by Palpatine to get Anakin over to the dark side. The only way for him to do that is to best Anakin in dueling, showing him the dark side is stronger. Little did he know.
Question: After the battle on Mustafar, does Vader realise that he was wrong to accuse Padme on Mustafar (of bringing Obi-Wan to kill him)? I thought he obviously did, because he asks Palpatine if she is all right. However, some fans seem to think that he still believes he was betrayed. He only asked due to his remaining love for her. Is this clarified anywhere?
Answer: He hopes she is all right, mostly because of the baby(s) in her belly. He is the father after all. His anger caused him to hurt her, but he did not intend to kill her, since she is pregnant with his child. He says to Obi-Wan, "you will not turn her against me." So he believes she is misguided by his "enemies." Of course, he is really confused, angry, and traumatized at this point, so not much rationale can be expected of him. I don't think there was much of Anakin left at that point already.
Answer: My interpretation is: he "woke up" after the procedure with his new armour and realised that he should have listened to her. I don't know which books and graphic novels are still canon, but some show him reflecting on Padme, imagining conversations with her spirit, and visiting her grave. Some images will come up in a Google search.
Question: After the events of this movie, why does Darth Sidious call himself Emperor Palpatine? Vader was expected to ignore his old life as Anakin Skywalker. Or was that a personal choice of Vader's?
Answer: Anakin, renamed Darth Vader, is a choice by Palpatine/Sidious. It is a Sith name. Darth Sidious, however, has two roles to play as both a Sith Lord and occupying an official position as the Emperor, so he uses his real name for that. The rest of the universe cannot know him as Darth Sidious.
Question: Why does Obi-Wan want to watch over Luke, but nobody needs to watch Leia?
Answer: Leia was placed into the care of a very wealthy family, and would be given protection 24/7. Luke, on the other hand, was placed into the care of a very secluded home and a poor family, with almost little to no protection from outside dangers. Luke would have been more at risk if the Empire found out who he was.
Answer: Incidentally, this question is kind of being addressed in the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
Question: Is this true that young Han Solo was originally supposed to appear in this movie?
Answer: There was strong talk of that happening. Lucas envisioned a ten-year-old Solo scrounging on Chewbacca's home planet. He was given only one line "I found part of a transmitter droid near the east bay. I think it's still sending and receiving signals." It would be revealed that Chewbacca raised Solo and taught how to fly ships. He was also to have met Yoda, but the idea got out of hand so it was scrapped.
Question: This applies to the entire prequel trilogy. Can the Jedi (especially Jedi council) be considered anti-heroes? Or no? As a bevy of "protagonists", they sure have obvious shortcomings which leads to their downfall and in the end are not heroic in much sense at all.
Answer: I would argue that the Jedi cannot be considered antiheroes. A major characteristic of antiheroes is a lack of conventional morals, and they typically act in self-serving ways. For example, many antiheroes oppose the antagonist of a story for revenge rather than for the "greater good." The Jedi are presented as highly moral and indeed quite selfless. It is true the Jedi are flawed and their flaws lead to their downfall, but merely having flaws does not make you an antihero. Their actions fighting the Clone Wars were certainly heroic, even if they ultimately lead to Palpatine gaining more power.
Question: If Yoda's better than Darth Sidious then why couldn't he beat him?
Question: The Emperor tells Grievous to send the separatists to Mustafar so that Anakin can later kill them to quote "end this war" but why? Why not leave them with Grievous and have them be captured by Obi Wan? To add to that wasn't the war already over when Obi Wan killed Grievous? Wasn't that the whole point of sending Obi Wan to kill Grievous? Why bother killing them, the war is over, you'll have control of those systems back anyway.
Answer: His long-term plan still has to make it look like he's playing both sides. He must convince the Separatist leaders that he's trying to protect them and extend the war slightly until he gets Anakin completely on his side.
To add to that Grievous was in control of the armies, so he had to be killed so the armies would be disbanded, better to risk a Jedi for that task. Also the separatist leaders had to be killed eventually because they could disappear and come back with another army or ships. They had served their purpose, they had to go.
Question: Why didn't Bail Organa have R2-D2's memory wiped?
Answer: R2-D2 isn't known for being a loud mouth like C-3P0 is. 3P0 is very likely to spit out valuable information or information about the Skywalker twins being born because that's just how he is. There isn't that danger with R2. Also R2 is an astromech mechanic. Most wouldn't think of him holding information like a protocol droid would.
Answer: R2-D2 is better capable of not revealing any secret information.
Answer: This is because only C3PO knows the identity of Leia and Luke, since he was around Anakin and Padme whilst pregnant, and thus most likely knows it's a twin and the identity of the father, whilst R2D2 doesn't.
C-3PO could have easily told R2-D2 about Luke and Leia while thinking that he wouldn't say anything. I wouldn't say that R2-D2 was a blabbermouth but he did accidentally tell Luke about the private message for Obi-Wan in ANH.
Question: Was part of the reason Anakin saved Palpatine because he saw him as a friend, and did Palpatine see Anakin as one, or did he just need him for his goals?
Answer: Anakin saved Palpatine because he believed (due to Palpatine's manipulation) that Padme would die without his help. Palpatine wanted Anakin as an apprentice, not a friend. He sensed the power in Anakin and knew he would make a powerful apprentice.
Adding on to this comment: I don't think Palpatine truly cares about anyone as a friend. He manipulates people, is a murderer, and does whatever it takes to gain power. When someone is a loyal servant, he is always prepared to dispose of them.
Question: I know one of the reasons Anakin slaughtered the younglings at the Jedi Temple is because he knew it would add to his power, but is there any other reason why?
Answer: He was instructed to eliminate all Jedi. Since the younglings were force sensitive and training to become Jedi, they were eliminated as well.
Question: If Aayla Secura's a Jedi Master then why does she wear a skimpy brown leather outfit? She should be dressed more like the other Jedi masters.
Answer: In-universe, it is the typical clothing of a Twi'lek female. Jedi are allowed to wear whatever clothing they want, though most choose the robes fitting the ascetic life of a Jedi.
Answer: Several possibilities. There are cultural differences in how the different races dress that may supersede the traditional Jedi uniform. However, and more likely, movies often sexualize women characters by dressing them in skimpy, skin-bearing costumes, even when it is out-of-sync with how others are dressed.
Answer: Going along with LorgSkyegon's answer, the clothing is common for female Twi'leks. Many Jedi observe a few traditions, customs, etc. of the worlds they came from. Since they are guardians of peace across the galaxy, they need to respect all cultures. It can be helpful for a Jedi to acknowledge their background, especially if they ever need to deal with a situation involving their species/homeworld.
Question: On Mustafar, why did Anakin think he was on the light side aside from the Jedi if he helped Palpatine earlier but now planned to overthrow him?
Answer: He's confused and becoming corrupted by the dark side. The dark side is making him see everyone as his enemy, including Palpatine.
People who do bad things don't always consider themselves as evil. Hitler and Thanos are good examples...they are doing what they think is best for the world, even if those things are unfathomable and largely considered evil. Anakin thinks he is becoming more powerful and in doing so, can save Padme. In his arrogance and with nobody keeping his emotions in check, he has become arrogant and believes he is the most powerful force user ever. He thinks he can make the world a better place and that the things he has done are to that end. Overthrowing Palpatine is part of the Sith way and would be a logical step for his current mental state.
Question: When Obi-wan Kenobi goes to the planet to fight General Grievous alone, shortly after he arrives he is in two places at once. He is sitting back in his ship talking to his droid before leaving and yet seconds later he has never left the planet. Can this be explained?
Answer: It is never said, but since Vader did not know Leia was his daughter, it's safe to assume Padmé came up with the names herself.
