Regina: Let me tell you something about Janis Ian. We were best friends in middle school. I know, right? It's so embarrassing. I don't even...whatever. So then in eighth grade, I started going out with my first boyfriend Kyle, who was totally gorgeous but then he moved to Indiana, and Janis was like, weirdly jealous of him. Like, if I would blow her off to hang out with Kyle, she'd be like, "Why didn't you call me back?" And I'd be like, "Why are you so obsessed with me?" So then for my birthday party, which was an all-girls pool party, I was like, "Janis, I can't invite you, because I think you're a lesbian." I mean I couldn't have a lesbian at my party. There were gonna be girls there in their bathing suits! I mean, right? She was a lesbian! So then her mom called my mom and started yelling at her, it was so retarded. And then she dropped out of school because no one would talk to her, and she came back in the fall for high school, all of her hair was cut off and she was totally weird, and now I guess she's on crack.

Continuity: When the main character is confronted by her crush in her room, she puts her drink on a pile of CDs, the CD pile starts to fall in the background as there is a shot of the guy, a split second later the cup is on the table next to the CDs, and the CDs are piled differently.

Continuity: After the Halloween party, when Cady walks into Damian and Janis' house, Damian gets scared and tosses all of the popcorn out of his bowl. In the next shot of Damian his bowl is full again.

Continuity: When the principal is introducing Cady to the class, the amount of donuts on the desk changes between shots. In some shots there are two donuts on top of the donut box, and other shots there are no donuts.

Continuity: Cady breaks up her Spring Fling tiara that she receives. On stage, she breaks it up into many pieces and throws them out into the crowds; it is clear that the amount we see being thrown into the crowds is a major amount of pieces - almost too much from just one tiara. However then when she leaves the stage, we see her holding approximately half of the tiara still. This would not be possible from the aforementioned amount that Cady has already snapped off and thrown into the crowd.

Factual error: The snake that Cady's dad is shown holding in the clips from Africa is a Burmese python. These snakes are not found in Africa.

Continuity: When The Plastics go to Regina's house for the first time, Karen walks over to the counter to put her bag down twice.

Revealing: In the scene where Mrs George is taking pictures of the girls for the Halloween concert you can see that the camera is turned off.

Continuity: When the Plastics are explaining to Cady the "rules" at lunch, an extra in a red shirt walks directly in front of the camera, and then a couple of seconds later, she walks in front of the camera again walking the same direction that she was walking the first time she passed the camera.

Audio problem: When Janis shouts at Cady out of Damian's car, Cady says "It's not my fault you're like in love with me, or something.", and then after she says this, her mouth visibly moves to more words but no audio is heard.

Continuity: When Cady is starting her first day of school and her parents are saying goodbye, she starts to walk up to the high school. Her dad starts to walk away while her mom stays standing there. In the next shot where it shows Cady's face, her mom and dad are still watching her together.

Continuity: In the wake of the candy-cane grams, Gretchen's arms change from above her shoulders to on the desk.

Continuity: When we see the first shot of Regina throw a pile of Burn Book sheets to the floor, they fall and all spread out. Then she sticks a sheet about Trang Pak up and then in the next shot as she continues to walk, the sheets she first dropped behind her on the floor are all much closer together in a different position.

Continuity: When Cady, Janice and Damian are in class talking about different things, like watching a movie, and Cady tells Janice she can't see her art show because she going to Madison etc., Cady is applying lip gloss. She holds a pocket mirror and in shots of the mirror you can see Cady holding the pink tube of lip gloss in the same hand, then when it cuts to wideshots, the tube isn't in her hand. The pink tube of lip gloss also has no lid on it, yet near the end of the scene a blue long lid appears on the pink tube.

Continuity: When Cady comes home from her first day her father sets down his book on the notepad on the desk as he sees her. In the next shot as she goes inside the book has moved back.

Continuity: When the girls are rioting a boy gets on his mobile phone asking his mother to come and get him because he is frightened. The same girl in the stripy top and denim skirt runs down the stairs behind him twice within a few seconds.

Continuity: In the 'Jingle Bell Rock' scene, right after Gretchen kicks the stereo off the stage, you see her feet, and they are both symmetrical next to each other, then when you see her again one of her feet is behind the other. Gretchen does not move at all between shots.

Continuity: While the girls go wild in the hallway, the principal breaks the glass with a bat making the sprinklers come on. When he yells, "All junior girls report to the gymnasium immediately," in the following shots all their shirts are dry.

Factual error: While the plastics are at the mall there is a Bell Mobility booth seen behind them. This booth wouldn't be found in an American mall as they only service Canada.
