Continuity: When the real 'manager' comes outside to yell at "Mr. O'Donnell', you see the manager walk back into the club. If you look in the background of the next shot, you can see the manager walking through the door again.

Trivia
Although Piper Perabo was able to sing for her character, it was decided that LeAnn Rimes would provide Violet's singing voice, albeit with a deliberate deviation from her natural vocal range. This means that during LeAnn's cameo in the movie, she is effectively duetting with herself. See more...
Coyote Ugly (2000) - 40 mistakes
Directed by David McNalley, starring Adam Garcia, John Goodman, Piper Perabo, Tyra Banks (add more)
Continuity: Violet drives through the toll booth on her way to sing her song. Then she says that she couldn't do it and made a big U turn. The toll booth wasn't that far behind her but it seemed like she drove a mile and a half before she reached it.
Continuity: When the guy at the bar orders 8 shots and Cammy (the blonde) tosses up 8 shot glasses in a fancy manner, as you can see she throws them up into 2 rows of 4. But then in the next shot they're all just in one long row of eight. It would be impossible for her to arrange them that quickly - there is only about a second between the two shots.
Continuity: When Violet goes to the club for the first time, her boss tears her shirt with her hands in the arms and the belly so that she becomes more sexy. How comes it is so straight later on, as if cut with scissors?
Continuity: Near the beginning at the Violet's going-away party, she and Gloria are up on the stage singing, from one cut to the other Violet and Gloria change places.
Continuity: At the end, when Jersey is trying to sing her own song on stage, before Kevin turns off the lights her hair isn't curled but after the lights come back on her hair is curled.
Continuity: In the last scene when Violet says to Kevin "So what do you do when you realise all your dreams have come true?", Violet moves in to kiss Kevin and she gets really close and then the camera cuts away to a different view and it shows Violet taking a step towards Kevin from 2 - 3 feet away.
Factual error: In the scene where Violet sings for Kevin for the first time, he starts to switch the lights off. Notice when he has turned off the lamps, the room is still very bright, but when he blows the candle out, the room is suddenly totally dark. That single candle could not possibly have lit-up the room and the characters the way it did, after the electrical light was switched off.
Continuity: In the first scene where Lil examines Jersey's arms, the length of her hair is about 6" shorter than throughout the rest of the film. This is because that was one of the first scenes of the whole film they shot.
Continuity: Near the beginning when Violet goes to the open mike night she is wearing jeans, but when she arrives home and finds her apartment broken into she is wearing a skirt and a different shirt. (The skirt and white shirt with the denim jacket that she wore for the first 2 or 3 days).
Continuity: When Violet and her boyfriend are getting intimate around all those celebrity cardboard stand-ups her bra strap is down by her elbow. Then the camera cuts in closer and the strap is back up on her shoulder.
Continuity: When the 4 Coyote's are dancing on the bar and pouring water on themselves, in one scene you see Tyra's shirt is totally, completely wet, but in the next, it is dry on the side.
Continuity: In the scene where Violet and Kevin are in the CD shop and Kevin is asking Violet to play at his friends club, Violet is wearing a tan and blue necklace and then when the camera takes a shot of Kevin and then goes back to Violet, her necklace has been flipped over and then again when Violet embraces Kevin, her necklace has been flipped around again.
Continuity: In the scene at the bar when Rachel is trying to get all the females to give her their bras, at first she is on the bar. In the next shot she is behind the bar taking money. The next shot she is on the bar again. She goes from being on the bar to being behind the bar 4 or 5 times in that scene.
Continuity: At the beginning "Pete" asks Violet for her autograph on a time card. She signs it and the "T" is not crossed, and when Pete puts it on the board it is crossed. Then at the end when Violet's dad buys it from Pete it is again not crossed. Also if you look at the "V" when she signs it and after Pete puts it up they are different. And lastly, when Violet signs her last name it is spaced but when Pete puts it up it is jumbled together. Her signature is different all around.
Continuity: When Zoe, Tyra Banks, is 'crowd surfing', she is heading away from the bar. The next scene is where Violet hands Lil two beers, but in the scene directly after that, you can see all of the girls behind the bar, even Zoe (if you look way back to the right, next to Rachel). There is no way Zoe could have gotten back there that fast.
Continuity: During the scene between Piper Perabo and Melanie Lynskey, outside Violet's apartment in Chinatown, Melanie's character, Gloria, is wearing sunglasses on her head. Looking closely, you can notice the overhead lighting reflecting in her sunglasses. Apparently, the sunglasses were not dirtied enough for the light to disappear.
Continuity: When Gloria is talking to Violet just after they have arrived in New York, when they are standing' outside the car, Violets hair is curly and a lot of it is flowing over the front of her shoulders. Whenever there is a shot from the back, her hair is not so curly and pushed behind her shoulders. It continues to do this throughout the scene.
Continuity: Early on, a man in the bar asks Violet for whiskey and water. As Violet starts to get the drink, Rachel is looking at the ceiling. It cuts to her for a line and she is facing forward.
Continuity: In the scene where Violet first sings at Coyote Ugly, she in one shot, points at the crowd. Next shot, she does this again, in less than a second. Between shots she doesn't lift her hand or arm from its position, but simply points, then points again.
