Factual error: In the scene where Violet gets her tapes back outside her apartment, she looks at an envelope with HER name as the sending address and the company as the return address. This is possible, however, the envelope would not be stamped "unsolicited mail" if it was re-packaged by the company. An unsolicited stamp would be there, like all the other envelopes, if it was being returned to her in the original envelope, with her name as the RETURN address, instead of the sending address. Factual error: In the opening scene, Violet says "hero", but they're called "subs" in Jersey. Heroes are a Pennsylvania term.

Continuity mistake: When the guy at the bar orders 8 shots and Cammy (the blonde) tosses up 8 shot glasses in a fancy manner, as you can see she throws them up into 2 rows of 4. But then in the next shot they're all just in one long row of eight. It would be impossible for her to arrange them that quickly - there is only about a second between the two shots. (00:27:40)

Trivia: Co-star Melanie Lynskey stated that the behind the scenes of the film was hostile at times. When she was cast the costume designer made the snide comment "Nobody told me there would be girls like you," and the crew would try to change the way she looked with excessive makeup and shapewear clothes. She was also constantly told that she was "not beautiful" by the costume department. This affected her so much that to this day, Lynskey makes herself available to younger castmates for help or advice.
