When George and June are going up in the elevator to play strip chess, we see him swipe a card in the elevator. This is presumably a electronic key, so that hotel guests can't stumble into his apartment. However, when Lucy runs out of the wedding, we see her press a button to go up, and then wait, without having to swipe a card. [The card doesn't always have to be swiped before the button is pushed.]

Mistakes
After the stapler fight, George and Lucy are talking in the coffee room, and they switch sides. After they switch, the coffee pot next to George keeps changing places, sometimes it's really close to the edge of the counter, other times it's further away. See more...
Trivia
In the trailers (on the radio in the UK, anyway), there's a bit with Hugh Grant saying something like "This is no job for a grown up - drinking without being responsible...actually, it doesn't sound that bad". This was never in the finished film. See more...
Two Weeks Notice (2002) - 7 corrections
Directed by Marc Lawrence, starring Alicia Witt, David Haig, Hugh Grant, Sandra Bullock (add more)
Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

After George reads his speech to Lucy, she says it was fine except for "the split infinitive near the end." There was no split infinitive. (For example, "to boldly go" is a split infinitive; "to go boldly" is not.) [She was joking. She was trying to find something to criticise in his speech because she was still angry so she made something up.]
After the stapler fight George drags Lucy into the pantry by holding her at the arms. The camera cuts briefly to June, and when it's back on Lucy and George he is holding her around the waist and Lucy is wildly brandishing the stapler at June. It's theoretically possible but looks quite wrong. [It is theoretically possible, therefore it shouldn't be considered a mistake. George had plenty of time to move his hands down.]
In the scene where Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock are in the car and stuck in traffic, it appears that it is raining. However, there is no rain falling on the windshields. When both characters get out of the car to run to the RV, they cover their heads, but again no rain is falling and they are not getting wet. [A drizzle would not be visible to the camera. Though it feels wet and wreaks havoc on a hairdo, it would take a while before getting clothing significantly wet.]
When George and Lucy leave their car in the traffic jam, in one of the cars they pass you see George's brother and sister-in-law. This amazing coincidence has no further significance in the plot as they were not with them at the tennis club, and must have been forgotten to get edited out. [Actually, George DOES say earlier that Howard offered to give June a lift home. So Howard being in the car does have significance in the plot because you can see June in the back seat. It was a company outing so of course Howard would be there.]
In the scene towards the beginning when Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant first meet and she is talking about the community centre, Sandra is wearing a singlet underneath a long sleeved shirt, however in the next shot she is wearing a short sleeved shirt underneath, then it changes back to a singlet again. [What she wears underneath doesn't change. The impression is caused by the changing creases in the sleeve of her blouse.]
