Blood Work (2002) - 9 mistakes
Directed by Clint Eastwood, starring Anjelica Huston, Clint Eastwood, Jeff Daniels (add more)
Revealing: When Clint Eastwood and detective Jay Winston are talking in her office she walks over to the blinds and touches the plastic piece that closes them but nothing happens, they stay the way they were. She does this twice.
Other: When Eastwood goes into the police station, the officer at the front desk tells him the men he's looking for are in the first door on the right. The next shot is of him walking into the room, only he's walking into a room on his left.
Continuity: When Clint Eastwood and Wanda De Jesus are walking along the harbor you see a large ship docked across the harbor. Three times during their walk, they are shown walking from the front towards the back of the ship in the background. It's one walk, one conversation but they seem to keep backing up and starting their walk over and over.
Continuity: When Eastwood and De Jesus are walking near the water, De Jesus remarks "What a great sunset" with the sun right on the horizon, then a shot of her nephew with a shadow far too short to be anywhere near sunset.
Continuity: When Terry is back outside at the store he glances across the street and sees the same car. Notice the angle of the tires, they are turned. In the next shot the tyres are straight. The car has not even moved yet.
Continuity: In one of the final scenes, Eastwood's boat is shown underway in perfect condition after De Jesus rams its bow into the grounded freighter.
Visible crew/equipment: When Clint Eastwood dreams he is being shot by the masked man in the party store, you will notice obvious padding or vest under his shirt as he is being shot. This is padding for the blood charge(s) used for special effects in the film.
Plot hole: Clint Eastwood's whole investigation/solution is based on him suspecting that the victims had a common tie, rather than being random. The problem is there is no reason for him to think this - there is no reason given for them to not be considered random victims. For him to think otherwise was a bit far fetched. In the book, however, they were all on the organ donor list, which led him to the fact they all had the same rare blood type and so on.
