Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Corrected entry: In the beginning, the mirror instantly goes from green to black. It should have faded into black.

Correction: Saying something "should have" faded a different way than what the animators chose is not a mistake, just your opinion.

Correction: It's supposed too because he keeps poking his head out to see where he is going.

Corrected entry: After the Queen's second conversation with her magic mirror, she immediately declares that she will go to the dwarfs' cottage and finish Snow White off herself. The mirror only tells her that Snow White is alive, not where she can be found.

Correction: The magic mirror does indeed tell the queen where Snow White is staying: "Over the seven jewel hills, beyond the seven falls, in the cottage of the seven dwarves, where Snow White still lives fairest in the land, Tis the heart of a pig you hold in your hand."

Corrected entry: When Snow White first looks inside the house, she rubs off some fog on the window. So does a raccoon. Later, when the dwarves come home from work, they see smoke coming out of the chimney and gasp. But the fog on the window is untouched.

Correction: As would happen when the fog reforms on the glass.

Corrected entry: When the animals are helping Snow White to clean the cottage, some birds bring big yellow flowers and put them in a blue vase on the table. When the dwarfs arrive and Bashful takes the flowers to smell, the flowers are completely different from those that the birds have brought and the vase is brownish and small.

Correction: It's a different vase of flowers. It's hardly unreasonable to think that the birds, who are taking very good care of the dwarves' cottage, would have collected more than one.

Corrected entry: When the witch is reading the recipe for the poisoned apple, she reads "The sleeping death" twice, even though we later see that it's only printed on the book once.

Correction: The Witch repeating herself does not constitute a film mistake.

Corrected entry: When Dopey comes running down the stairs after seeing Snow White, he crashes into the other dwarves and many of their pickaxes fall next to the stairs. A little later in the film, when Dopey runs down for dinner, this area is pickaxe-free.

Correction: The area has more than likely been cleaned up if it's a little later in the film.

Corrected entry: The dwarfs give their whole bedroom to Snow White, and they sleep downstairs. There would be seven beds and seven pillows upstairs, and there's one downstairs. So why did they fight over the one downstairs, instead of just going upstairs to get their own pillows? Snow White would also only need one, and even if they are too small, we can see the one downstairs is big enough.

Correction: I think this falls under character decision. They didn't want to bother Snow White by getting their pillows.

Corrected entry: Before Snow White runs off to live in the woods, the Queen sends a henchman to kill Snow White. As he is receiving the order his knife is on his right side, to be drawn with the left hand. In the next scene, the knife has moved to his left side.

Correction: You've provided your own correction. The huter's knife is on his right side in one scene, but in the next SCENE it's on his left side. The hunter could have moved the sheath over this time. It's not a mistake.

Corrected entry: When Snow White goes into the "cute little cottage", the animals follow her (with the turtle at the end). When the dwarves come home, all the animals sleeping race back down the steps. (By the way, the turtle has finally gotten to the top of the stairs and has finished breathing a sigh of relief as he gets run over.) When the animals run down the stairs, they knock over the turtle, who hides in his shell to keep himself safe as he starts bouncing down the steps. Later, you can see the spot where he landed, but the turtle isn't there. Did the turtle leave? Probably. Where did he go? And besides, was he fast enough to get there, wherever "where" was?

Correction: None of those questions need to be answered as they are irrelevant, and definitely are not mistakes.

Corrected entry: At the end of the film when Snow White wakes up and kisses the dwarfs. Snow White only kisses six of the seven dwarfs.

Correction: It looks like it is Sleepy she does not kiss! Maybe he was half asleep at coming forward.

Correction: She may have kissed the seventh dwarf offscreen. In any case not showing her kiss all seven dwarves does not qualify as a mistake.

Other mistake: When the Dwarfs first leave the mine entrance, the first few animation cells seem to have been omitted, so that at first the entrance is empty and then the Dwarfs appear out of thin air.

Doc: The, uh, Princess will sleep in our beds upstairs.
Snow White: But, where will you sleep?
Doc: Oh, we'll be quite comfortable down here, in, uh, in, uh.
Grumpy: In a pig's eye.
Doc: In a pig's eye - sty - NO! No! I mean, we'll be comfortable, won't we, men?

Question: When the animals go to tell the dwarves about the witch trying to kill Snow White, why is Grumpy all of a sudden concerned about her? He's the first one to say that they have to go rescue her and then is leading them back to the cottage, although up to that point he hasn't liked her at all.

Answer: He's oppositional, sure, but that's just who he is. It doesn't mean he doesn't like her.
